Does climate change under influence of human?

Climate change is a phenomenon which is under the influence of humans. The changes are
mostly caused by activities initiated by humans. Few of them are addressed below –
 Industries emitting toxic gases like carbon monoxide, greenhouse gases, and other
chemicals to the atmosphere are resulting in Global Warming, which in-turn
results in melting of glaciers.
 Cutting down of trees, burning of fossil fuels, plastics, increasing live stock
farming are leading to an interruption in the environment cycle.
 Chemicals and toxic waste released to water and air by the industries are resulting
in water and air pollution causing harm to aquatic animals as well as human
beings.
 Excessive cutting down of tress affecting the environment by excess of carbon
dioxide in the atmosphere. It also causes by soil erosion, landslides etc. An
imbalance in the eco-system is created. The rainfall patterns of many regions are
affected.
 Rising sea levels leading to natural calamities such as tsunami, floods, cyclones
etc.
 Ozone layer depletion is a matter of concern, which is caused due to excess
emission of Chlorofluorocarbons, which are mainly emitted from Refrigerators,
Air Conditioners etc.
All of the above are results of human activities in some way or the other. Human beings can
take initiatives to control these climate changes. Few of the measures that can be taken on
individual level are reforestation – encourage people to plant more trees, awareness
campaigns. People can use biodegradable bags instead of plastic bags. We can use cruelty
free products instead of using animal tested products. Follow the three Rs- Reuse, Reduce
and Recycle. Upcycling can be followed by people along with carpooling. Industries can
follow the UN Sustainability goals, do CSR activities focusing on environment protection
and try to reduce carbon footprints. Industries should follow microbial waste water treatment
to treat water before sending it back to the rivers. Government can increase awareness of
people and make policies to save environment. Some examples of government initiatives are
banning the use of plastic in Himachal Pradesh. Some other government schemes are
Namami Gange Programme, green skill development programme, Swach Bharat Abhiyan
etc.
To conclude “no challenge poses a greater threat to future generations and climate change”-
