CHILD CARE EXPERIENCE

KIDZONE Learning Center

Teacher Duties
 Started as an afternoon teacher for the infants’ room. (0-8 months) and
was transitioned through the 9 months - 2’s year old class, then 2’s - 5’s.
 In charge of warming milk and food for the infants, and giving out snacks
to the older infants and older children.
 Change clothing and diapers when needed.
 Read to and played with all the children to work on movement, such as
sitting up and crawling, motor functions, etc.
 Laid the children down for nap time.
 Cleaned all surfaces.

Lunch Duty
 Made lunch for each classroom of children, four classrooms.

 Had to know the allergies of each child and have the medication on hand if or
when needed.
 After snack and lunch, I would have to clean the dishes and prepare for the
next meal.

Y.M.C.A- Meridian

Teacher Duties- Morning and Afternoon


 Required to take the children to school and/or wait with them at the bus
stops.
 Required to go out and get the children from the school and/or buses.
 Made breakfast and snack time for all the children, about 30 children a
day.
 Handled the medication for the students with serious food allergies, such
as peanuts and dairy, and prescribed medication for ADHD or behavioral
attitudes/issues.
 Organized activities for the children to do after homework was finished.
 Helped children work through the homework they were struggling with.
 After closing, we were required to clean all surfaces to help prevent
sickness.

Wild Potato- Nanny/ Au Pair

Daily Duties-
 Required to get up and ready for the day before the parents.
 Watched over the baby while the parents got ready for the day and
headed off to work.
 Fed and changed the baby when required, multiple times a day.
 Household chores: Laundry, dishes, sweeping, moping, and walk/run the
dog.
 Occasionally make dinner for the family.

Nampa Lowe’s- Paint Department

Duties before the store opens-


 Clean out the paint machines in the morning and fill up colorants when
needed.
 Calibrate the color match machine to ensure the closest possible color
matches.
 Wipe down and sanitize all surfaces.
 Walk up and down the paint aisles to make sure that all is safe for our
employees and customers.

Duties during business hours-
 Restock any and all empty holes on the shelves with products.
 Pull down any product from top stock to refill the holes.
 Help customers find the products, materials, and/or paint they require.
 Give options and opinions on what is good to use for different projects.
 Act as a go-between for the customer and store managers.
 Do whatever is required to help the customer to the best of our abilities.

INTERNSHIPS/COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Capital Church

Intern Duties during church-


 Be early- sometimes two hours before services.
 Do what is being told of you to do- setting up chairs, getting water,
ordering food, receiving rental equipment, etc.
 Help set up the stage for the worship team and make sure the
microphones are working efficiently.
 Be ready to act if/when something broke down during the service
 Teaching children in Sunday School about Jesus’ love for us.

Intern Duties during the week-


 Attend class two days a week, Monday and Tuesday, to gain insight on
philosophy and history of the Bible.
 Always being ready and on-call for the pastors- watching children, getting
groceries, helping move, organizing events, etc.
 Attend and help out in the youth group.
