Topic of your production and why


it is important to British Youth SOCIAL MEDIA

Social media is a really important and relevant topic for


British youth as it is a part of the British youth’s everyday
life. It can have huge impacts on multiple things, we are
homing in on the impact it. Has on mental health. As it is
something that is currently a problem for the majority of
the British youth.

How does the production suit your


target audience? This production suits our target audience as it will be as
relatable as possible to many. It will be including things
that have been shown to be a struggle or at least
something people are aware of, through our research we
have found that people in our audience can relate to
multiple things we are going to be including in our
production. As well as this it is known by almost
everyone that social media and its effect on mental
health, whether that be positive or negative, is very
relatable and happening in today’s British youth.

What are the ethical aspects of your


production? Will you offend / fight In our production we will bringing awareness to problems
a cause / raise awareness of it? that people struggle/ have struggled with. Making it clear
that there is a solution and a way out, helping people get
through things or at least showing them ways out of bad
experiences.

Why should BBC ‘buy’ your


productions – what does it offer This production shows a serious topic that. Is so relevant
that hasn’t been covered before? that all people watching will see how important and
intense this topic can be. If people are not educated on it
enough it can lead to deeper problems within youth and
negative mental health. It shows a side to social media
that hasn’t been touched on intensely enough for people
to see how much of an impact social media can have on
people and showing how you can grow and push through
the problems and solve them.
