INTRODUCTION:
The project entitled Crime Management System is developed as part of the 5 th
semester DBMS package project for the fulfillment of the BE(computer science)Engg.
In society we have many laws and rules,these rules and laws are made by the people,for the
people and to the people.Whenever any laws is violated by anyone then we say that crime is
committed and who break that is called CRIMINAL and to realize that person his/her
mistake.There also criterion called punishment.Sometimes these crime are committed by
same/different people in same /different manner repeatedly.So we have to manage a record of
such type of people so that when any special type of crime is committed then that criminal can
easily traced out and punished them so that they don’t do that in future.The basic entity of the
system is FIR.Any victim can lodge a request for FIR through.

PROBLEM STATEMENT:
• Criminal have high knowlede of technology.
• Hard to gather information concerning crimes.
• Lack moderated materials.
• Collecting the crime effect is very hard.
• Police officers are very for from technology.
• Persons make crime is more developed than police officers.
• Police officers force and the society are not equal.
• Lack of evidences after suspected criminal.
• Unable to generated automatic crimes report.

PROPOSED SOLUTION:
This web based application is for automation in managing criminal record.The 4
types of user in our system will monitor this whole process.1st one is super administrator.This
post is allotted for higher authority of ministry.2nd one is allotted for officer in-charge of any
police station.And 3rd one is allotted for chief justice of any district court.And the final one is
allotted for civilian,to acknowledge them about criminal activities.In present manual system the
total process of criminal report generation is not so fast and friendly for the officials.To solve
this kind of problem we have proposed for better automated system ie.CRIMINAL
MANAGEMENT SYSTEM(CMS).In present manual system there three types of terms 1st one is
GD(general diary).2nd one is FIR(first information report).And 3rd one is charge-sheet.Gd is
taken when for storing preliminary information about any crime.FIR is launched when
murder,rape,vandalism like crime is happened.And the final charge-sheetis produced after
investigation and submitted in court.But in our our system to we proposed to taken GD for any
kind of perliminary criminal activities.And FIR will be launched after investigation and it will
directly submitted to court to complete the rest of the process.

OBJECTIVE:
The main objective of the application is to automate the existing method of managing
the law enforcement department.The other main objective of this project is to automate crime
case processing.The other main objective of this project is to track all the cases based on their
progress.

Backend Technology: java 8.1(jdk),REST-API
Data base: MYSQL
Server: NODE-JS

SCOPE:
The application can be used by all the police station in the state,later can be extended
to the all the stations in the country.
