(Note, rape is obviously immoral. Focus on those who witnessed the crime.)

We are born with the capacity to be ethical and moral people who know how to act
appropriately and help others in a particular situation. Ten people observed the rape but did nothing,
instead, they decided to capture the occurrence rather than calling 911 to stop the crime. These ten people
had the power to prevent rape and the freedom to do the right thing, but they did not; this was evidence that
they did not do properly in their human deeds. According to St. Thomas, “A free act is done voluntarily, it
starts from the will with knowledge of the goal desired, or, in other words, sent by the will necessitated by
the goodness of the thing presented to it by the intellect." Reporting or calling a police officer to stop the
rape is an act of humanity that will result in the crime being halted. That task is undertaken knowingly and
willingly. And in this case, it did not happen. We are born with the potential to be ethical and moral, but is
it that tough to use that ability? This proves that some would act blindly or even take advantage of a situation
even if they see others suffering, this is why I don't think that everyone can be considered a moral agent
since some people will still do wrong even if they know what is right.
