A. MECHANICAL WORKSHOP

1. SHOP SAFTEY
- Protection against the possibility of human harm or injury, as well as damage to workshop
machines and tools and to operate in the shop safely, you must know what you're doing and
adhere to safety procedures.
2. CAUSE OF ACCIDENT
-Lifting
-Fatigue
-Hazardous Material
-Stress
- Slippery
3. RESULTS OF ACCIDENT
-By lifting an object that is too heavy for them to lift on their own, many employees are at risk
of spraining, straining, or tearing a muscle.
-Failure to do so might result in a variety of physical problems, including atrophy and
weariness. The consequences of each of these can be significantly more serious than a 10-
minute break.
-Another prominent cause of industrial accidents is improper handling of hazardous chemicals
or failure to use personal protective equipment (PPE).
-It has an impact on the human body in every way possible. Stress has negative physiological,
emotional, and mental repercussions, as well as the ability to debilitate or distract any worker.
-Improper footwear could result injuries to slick floors and high-traffic corridors.

4. SHOP SAFETY RULES


- When working in the workshop, always put on safety equipment.
- Always ensure that common safety requirements are followed when dealing with autos.
- In the workshop, smoking and drinking should be prohibited.
- Before starting any welding work, ensure sure you have a fire extinguisher handy.
- All tools and accessories must be returned to their proper locations.

5. CLASSFICATION OF FIRE
- Fires involving solid materials such as wood, paper or textiles is classified as Class A.
- Fires cotaining liquids such as gasoline, fuel, or lubricants are classified as Class B.
- Fires invloving gases are classified as Class C.
- Metal related fires are classified as D.
- Fires involving electrical equipment is classified as Electrical Fires
