Introduction for advocacy video- We face many different challenges because of the unexpected enter of
this covid-19 in our country and also being declared by World Health Organization as pandemic.
Everyone are so shocked with it because the way how we lived has changed in very unexpected time. No
one are expecting that we can experience global pandemic because of infectious desease that we are
only able to notice through movies. Let us try to remember what are those challenges in Philippines that
we experienced since the start of covid-19 pandemic.

Closing message for advocacy video- The start of 2020 not becomes good for us because of the unseen
crisis we are facing until now, but this pandemic only teaches us that we have to prepare many
strategies in our life on what we have to do for facing consequences like this pandemic, and for any
other consequences that can happen in our life anytime and anywhere. This pandemic also teach us to
be out of our comfort zones or not to settle on those things that we are already immune to do. We have
to explore new things and new kind of living sometimes; because the things that we are so immune to
do, and the way of living that we are so immune are not always applicable for every situation and
circumstances we may face in our life.

 Healthcare facilities are being overwhelmed during the 1 st wave of covid-19 wayback on year
and month of March 2020.
Definition to explain: We all know that our healthcare capacities are not well improved even
through the days we are not experiencing a pandemic. That’s why during that time it is very
important that we are following the rules of the government during the 1 st wave spread of
covid-19 such as refrain to go outside if there is nothing relevant to do, and also to always
wash our hands with soap or using alcohols and hand sanitizers.
 The people who lost their jobs and some companies or industries who are forced to close for
some reasons during pandemic.
Definition to explain: Some of workers have lost their job, and some industries are forced for
closure for some reasons such as their industry or company are not allowed to operate during
hard lockdowns; while some industries has decide not to operate during hard lockdowns
because the income is not the same as before on the days without pandemic. It is more better
that you have another source of income incase of having an unexpected crisis like this.
 The public jeepney drivers who are begging help for financial aid along the public streets to
sustain their personal needs and their family.
Definition: We all know that all of the public transportations are being suspended since
implementation of ecq that cause to a lost of income for all public utility vehicle drivers; not
only on jeepney drivers. This is the thing that we are always saying that we have to prepare
our solutions and backup plans incase consequences like this takes place in our lives in the
most unexpected times.
 The students complaining about the challenges and distractions they are experiencing during
the 1st time experience of blended learning or online learning because of pandemic.
Definition to explain: Online classes or blended learning are very challenging by some factors
such as the students are having a hard time to come up with the lessons or lectures of their
professors, but we have to accept this new set up of learning. We need to make an
adjustment as learners through having a self learning of our lessons aside from the discussions
of our instructors. For those who have their problems on this new set up of learning by the
reason of no strong access at internets and no gadgets to be use on online learning. This is
very sad reality when it comes on the new set up of learning, but on challenges like this we
have to accept and make an adjustment on it through having a modular learning.
