This is my reaction about the Covid 19 pandemic and it’s effect to my life
and to others. The pandemic has destroyed jobs and placed millions of livelihood
at risk. Millions of women and men’s food security and nutrition are at risk as
breadwinners lose their jobs, get sick, or pass away; those low-income nations,
especially the most marginalized populations, such as small-scale farmers and
indigenous peoples, are severely hurt. A lot of informal economy workers are
particularly vulnerable because the majority lack social protection and access to
quality health care and have lost access to productive assets. Without the means to
earn an income during lockdowns, many are unable to feed themselves and their
families. During the high risk of the Covid 19, we cannot easily able to enter
establishments like malls, restaurant or even in a grocery store without mask. And
we are not allowed to go anywhere, without Qr code. Each establishment in the
time of epidemic they have a health protocol to be followed to avoid spreading of
virus. Many people lose their jobs and suffered from financial problems, were they
cannot able to sustain the needs of his family. Everyone advice to stay at home,
government takes action about it, were any place you can observe that our law
enforcement is there in order for us to be safe. The transportation also changed the
number of passengers are limited only in any vehicles like bus, van, tricycle, and
tren. If you want to go to other country or any place here in the Philippines, it’s
very restricted you must first have a swab to prove that you are negative to Covid
19, so you can able to have your flight. However, when you arrive to the place, you
cannot go home yet. You must render 14 days quarantine, the reason for this
occurance some individuals get the virus is asymptomatic were the symptoms is
not visually. Covid 19 killed millions of people around the world, especially those
profession who save lives and sacrifices themselves in order to give another hope
and life to other, which is our heroes the Doctors, Nurses and Law Enforcement.
When one member of your family die because of the Covid 19, it’s so painful for
them. Because they are not allowed to visit or even get near to their sisters,
brothers, grandmother or mother and say goodbye for the last time, even me
watching news about those people who died because of the virus, and I felt sorry
for them especially to the family. Some case I heard and see, when the pandemic is
still on high risk even the person die due to car accident or high blood the patient
will be charged for Covid 19, maybe because of the money that the hospitals will
earn, if they have a case of positive patient in Covid 19. The government provide
free vaccination for all, to fight against the virus. It’s advisable to all to have a
vaccine, some establishment required vaccination for their employee, if you have
no vaccine you are not allowed to go to work. Not say it’s a discrimination to other
employees, but it’s their choice if they will be vaccinated. As a College student the
pandemic really affected my life, since the learning system was changed we are not
allowed to go school without appointment for the transaction inside the campus,
we should wear a mask and face shield, always bring an alcohol and observe social
distancing. It’s hard to find a signal during online class, I’ve encountered a lot of
challenges and struggles, especially submitting an activity, assignment through
online. At the first place I felt nervous and panic, thinking that one day I am one
of those infected of the virus what should I do? How’s my family? But thank God,
we are blessed that we don’t experience it. One of the important occasion of our
life which is the Graduation, we didn’t experienced it, because it was really the
start of the pandemic. Some of the event and celebration was prohibited such as
fiesta, birthday’s, wedding any occasion that are crowded. Each of us, has a
different story to tell, what we experience during the pandemic and how it’s affect
our life. But our government is trying to fixed this problem, and bring again our
economic more productive and competitive globally. Through the support and help
of everyone we can able to achieved the new normal.
I realized that during the pandemic time quality with the family is very
important, because we didn’t know one day they might gone, at least we share
every single moment with them. During the pandemic also I observed these
characteristics of being hospitable, helpful and generous. As well as these
characteristics as a Filipino being happy and showing smile to other, even though
we are facing a lot of challenges in life, we never stop showing positivity in times
of pandemic. Some people and the government give relief foods, mask to the
people who really need it. I realized also that we should be careful with our
actions, because it may bring problem to the world. Unlike in the past, that we
have freedom but due to the pandemic we are not allowed to walk outside without
a mask, we are not allowed to attend birthday’s, wedding. Because of the pandemic
the environment become so toxic. Life of the people change because of the Covid
19, other lost a family member and a job. We should wake up to the reality that
viruses are real, and mask is part of our life, it is not a fiction this is reality. We
should prepare ourselves what might happened in the future.
The things that I must recommend and suggest, as a student and citizen of
our country. We need more technology and machine, to our hospitals especially in
local area, because health is wealth. Then as a student, we should abide the rules
provide by our school especially about health protocol, to prevent spreading of the
virus always wear a mask. To all people be responsible enough, if the government
said stay at home, please be guided and be at home to be safe. Because no one will
predict what will happened in the future.
