A NEW VIRUS HAS CHANGED OUR LIFESTYLE

The new deadly virus named Covid-19 has infected the people in
our country and across the world. Covid-19 not only change our lifestyle
but also turned the world upside down. It all started when the
government announced the lockdown for the whole country in March
last year.

All of us are forced to stay at home. No dine in, no haircut, no

access to the playground, no school and many other restrictions. This
pandemic has imprisoned us in our own house. We are not allowed to go
out and attend gathering as we used to. We have to avoid crowded
places as there is high risk to get infected by the virus. Every town and
neighbourhood seems to have been under a zombie attack. No one
allowed on the road except with mission. Police and army were
everywhere handling the roadblock. Those who arrived in the country
from abroad have been required to quarantine themselves in a hotel.
Classes and almost all extracurricular activities have been conducted
virtually. Those who are technology savvy benefited the most during
this pandemic. Many businesses turn online.

I miss my old lifestyle. Playing in the playground, going outside

without wearing a mask and most importantly I miss going to the
cinema. Please Covid-19, leave the country as we are tired of hearing
your name. After a year to be in such condition, thank god, now the
vaccine is in Malaysia. If everyone gets vaccinated, then we can get
back to our normal life. Finally, we can win the battle of fighting covid
19 and the pandemic ended.
THE APPRECIATION OF LIFE DURING COVID 19 PANDEMIC PERIOD

I really appreciate my life during this pandemic period because I

had the chance to lend my hand to the needy people. At the same time,
I am able to stay in touch with my family members. During this tough
period of life, I am grateful to have the chance to help others in need.
Volunteering my time, money and energy have made me a better
individual. This gives me a sense of joy and feel rewarded.

In addition, I am thankful to still be with my family members. I

know that many families out there are physically separated from their
loved ones. Many are depressed from separation. However, for me, with
the help of modern technology, including WhatsApp, hangout, google
meet and many more which are all free of charge, I am constantly in
touch with my relatives and friends from all over the world. I truly
appreciate the technological era we are in now that has helped us to
stay connected.

This covid 19 pandemic make me realised that I have so many

things to appreciate in life. I believe that the quarantine period has
taught many money-minded people the value of family bonding and that
good health is wealth. Many have realized that money is not everything
in life, including me. Hence, that’s for now. Thanks for the great
opportunity. Stay home, stay safe.
Things I learned about my family members during quarantine period

Mum, why are we just staying home, not going out of our houses.

Well, son. The world now is in the pandemic of a new virus, Covid-19.

Oh gosh. This is so boring.

This is the response of every child in the family. Covid-19 is a

thunder that happen in our country where most of the citizen called it
a curse of the earth. There are many challenges and obstacles we face
during quarantine period. We face struggle such as working at home,
online school, losing jobs, can’t see our relatives and many more. Covid-
19 has been the best threaten for me. I have learned many lessons
during covid-19 pandemic and mainly about my family members which I
have never previously discovered.

During the covid-19 pandemic, I have more time to spend with my

family. Every night, my father would tell me bedtime stories with moral
values such as be humble and kind, be honest and so on. During the day
time, my mum would teach me house chores which I enjoy very much,
mainly baking, cooking, doing the laundry and many more. When I do
these, not only my house would be clean, but also, I get to spend time
with my mum. At night, I get to spend about 3 to 4 hours doing
homework and studying with my siblings. They always tell me to follow
my dream and study hard for it.

Furthermore, I get to do things that I love such as singing and

listening to music. Even my voice is not good but I still like to sing.
While I listen to music, I feel relax and calm. Singing is an excellent

way of entertainment. Even better I can get to do it with my family

members. During this period, I have also improved my singing skills.
In conclusion, I am so happy to have the opportunity to do things
that I love at home as well as discovering more about my family
members during this covid-19 pandemic. I hope everyone gets
vaccinated, then we can get back to our normal life. Finally, we can win
the battle of fighting covid 19 and the pandemic ended.

Many students miss their parents as they are stranded in

overseas. Teachers are having tough time teaching students by just a
PDF file and are in a confusion whether the students understand the
syllabus or not.

I am sure many of us are thinking can we delete 2020. This version has
virus in it. Imagine if i told you that covid-19 has been the best
threaten for me, for my personality and character development. covid
19 actually helps me to realise many factors of my life which i have
never previously discovered.
Covid-19 provide a heathier lifestyle

Covid-19 pandemic: a blessing or a curse?

Mum, why are we just staying home, not going out of our houses.

Well, son. The world now is in the pandemic of a new virus, Covid-19.

Oh gosh. This is so boring.

This is the response of every child in the family. Covid-19 is a

thunder that happen in our country where most of the citizen called it
a curse of the earth. There are many challenges and obstacles we face
during quarantine period. We face struggle such as working at home,
online school, losing jobs, can’t see our relatives and many more.

However, every cloud has its silver lining. It is not the end of the
world yet. In my speech today, I would say that covid-19 is a blessing.
We have to be optimistic and we must have hope in ourselves, have
faith in ourselves because it is the only way for us to get through this
hard time. If we think and behave in a more optimistic way, we are able
to prepare ourselves better for this pandemic and adhere to the SOP.

In conclusion, covid-19 is not the last virus. There will always be a

new virus in the future. We have to be prepared for it, be optimistic so
that we can fight this virus together. To end my speech, I would like to
end it with a quote by Martin Luther. We must accept finite
disappointment, but never lose infinite hope. Stay optimistic, stay
hopeful, Covid-19 pandemic is a blessing.

Covid-19 pandemic: an alarm to mankind

2020 has been an unprecedented 魔幻 year. The covid-19
pandemic has forced many people to lower their expectations 期待,
from "living out their dreams 实现人生价值" to simply "surviving". Like a
sudden specter 幽灵, the coronavirus barged into 闯入 our lives,
disrupting 打扰 our daily activities. However, we are overcoming the
fear or at least getting used 习惯 to it.

The pandemic has been reminding people to be more considerate

and to be more responsible, not just to ourselves, to others as well.
There are some selfish people who are having such mindset, they are
only living for themselves, but the reality is not what it seems. We are
living for others as well. Some people who refuse to cooperate and
wear a mask or following SOP, where it is so easy, even a 6 years old
kid can do it. Such selfish acts are contributing to the increasing cases
of covid-19 to our country.

Other than that, the pandemic has also reminded people to be

more caring and to be more affectionate to other people. During this
pandemic, people are lonely and depressed. Some has lost their jobs
and income at the same time. Some are just bored and the worst case
some has lost their loved ones. I think simple words of encouragement
are enough for us to make this people to feel love again, contribute to
the well-being of themselves

In conclusion, covid-19 will not last forever. It will come to an end

one day. So, we should be more considerate, be more responsible, be
more affectionate towards others. To end my speech, I would like to
end it with a quote by Martin Luther. We must accept finite
disappointment, but never lose infinite hope. Stay optimistic, stay
hopeful, Covid-19 pandemic is a blessing.
Covid-19 And Virtual World
Mum, why are we just staying home, not going out of our houses.

Well, son. The world now is in the pandemic of a new virus, Covid-19.

Oh gosh. This is so boring.

This is the response of every child in the family. 2020 has been an
unprecedented 魔幻 year. The covid-19 pandemic has forced many people to
lower their expectations 期待, from "living out their dreams 实现人生价值" to
simply "surviving". Like a sudden specter 幽灵, the coronavirus barged into 闯
入 our lives, disrupting 打扰 our daily activities.

Reacting to the virus, many countries around the world closed schools,
colleges and universities to prevent the spread of the virus. The sudden
closure of schools meant that education policy makers, school principals and
teachers had to find alternatives to face-to-face instruction in order to
guarantee children’s right to education. Many education systems have
switched to virtual learning on an unprecedented scale, often in combination
with widespread remote learning materials such as online learning, television,
texting or radio.

Through the virtual leaning, students can now obtain instruction and
learn with ease at home by simply clicking a few buttons on the computer to
listen live or asynchronously to a teacher thousands of miles away, interact
with the teachers, and solve problems without having to physically be in a
classroom. We do not have to put up with any more disruptive environments
like crowded libraries. Virtual learning offers better opportunities to
concentrate by not being around other people.

It is also possible to form study groups online using free online

software like Google Hangout or Join Me to study remotely with others. All
we need is our computer, a headset to listen and talk in, and the time to join
others virtually to swap ideas about classroom assignments, get questions
answered about things we are stuck on. We can share screens, present
documents, use virtual whiteboards to brainstorm ideas and organize our
study projects.

In a life marred 破坏 by newfound inconvenience 不方便 and loneliness

孤单, we should still be optimistic 乐观, as the saying goes "never waste a
good crisis". The covid-19 crisis offers us a chance to adapt and evolve 进化
as we try to conform 适应 to a new lifestyle while reflecting 反思 on the
deficiencies 不足之处 of our current lives. To end my speech, I would like to
end it with a quote by Martin Luther. We must accept finite disappointment,
but never lose infinite hope. Stay optimistic, stay hopeful.
