‘Stay safe’, ‘Stay at home’. Phrases that always reminded to all the people nowadays.
This is because of the Covid-19 pandemic which as greatly impacted community and
changed the way people live their lives. Coronavirus pandemic is an ongoing global
pandemic of coronavirus disease 2019(Covid-19) which was first identified in December
2019 in Wuhan, China. Covid-19 is not planet-wide, but is hitting at different speeds and
intensity depending where people live. This virus has killed many lives and harm people
around.

There’s only a way for us to fight the coronavirus pandemic which is by staying apart or
we can say it as staying at our own home. During this pandemic, every country that has
been infected had a major lockdown. People is not allowed to go out until the permissions is
given. This is to avoid people to spread the virus from each other because this virus happens
when there is a touch from one person to another and it also may happen through the air
surroundings.

So, when there is a lockdown, means that no schools, works and outdoor activities are
allowed. This doesn’t mean that students and workers just staying at home without a class
and work. Students still have classes and workers also still working but in different media
used. The education sector in all country has opted for the approach of online learning or e-
learning with technology and devices as a mediator of communication to replace face to
face class. People only communicate through online platform such as WhatsApp, Telegram,
Google Meet and so on. But then, there are many challenges for students and also teachers
while doing online learning same goes to the workers. But that’s the only way for them to
keep communicate during this pandemic and people have to accept it.

Despite these new challenges, people can spend most of their time with families. The
lockdown allowed people to spend more time together with their family rather than the
normal lifestyles where each of us are busy with our own work so there is no time for
family. The teacher’s does remind each student to help their parents at home. This helps
students to have more experienced on doing housework especially for girls. This can also
strengthen the bond between families.
This pandemic also teaches people to be more careful and responsible. The community
become more cooperative in complying with SOP instructions to fight this virus. This current
public health crisis demonstrates that we are all have a responsibility to reduce the spreads
of Covid-19. A renewed and health society is possible only if government and public
authorities taking step to respect, protect, and fulfil the right to health. We can fight this
virus. Stay safe and stay at home!
