Science and Technology can be the Cure

Klent Mej Jacob Gaid

The entire planet is currently going through difficult times. They had been induced via way of means of a
intense pandemic of a lethal virus referred to as COVID-19. It has completely altered the way we used to live. It is
no longer safe to leave your house because you may contract the disease. This dreadful virus has killed millions of
people all over the world. Due to the pandemic, education is one of the most affected aspects of human life. The
government is working hard to gradually reopen face-to-face classes. Every country is reminded of their
responsibility to devise strategies for safely reopening schools. The use of school health protocols in the delivery of
face-to-face classes in accordance with national and international guidelines is critical in mitigating the effects of
the COVID-19 pandemic as a public health crisis. World governments take every possible measure to combat the
pandemic and bring things back to normal, but not everything they propose is effective. However, as time passed,
we discovered that science and technology play a critical role in overcoming this problem and resuming normal
education.

As we all know, science and medicine are two fields that work together to develop treatments for various
diseases and health issues. Although a cure for COVID-19 has yet to be discovered, these two areas are critical to
success. Scientists and medical professionals have been keeping an eye on the situation since it began. They already
have a ton of information that provides us with feedback on common symptoms, potential complications,
consequences, preventive measures, and so on. This big data is one stage of the solution-finding process. This
actively demonstrates that science creates new frontiers and, at the very least, temporarily prevents the virus from
spreading widely. We must be patient and follow medical professionals' preventive recommendations until the
pandemic is over. COVID-19 vaccines, which have been shown to be extremely safe, are effective at protecting the
public in two ways: they protect the majority of people from becoming ill, and they reduce the likelihood that
people will spread the virus to others. Thus, resuming face-to-face classes would be safer and easier if science was
used to develop appropriate vaccines for all people especially students at any age.

Technology has been recognized as a significant aid in delivering efficient learning among all learners at
various levels of the educational arena over the past decades. The incorporation of technology into the educational
curriculum raises awareness of its role in increasing opportunities for learning engagement between teachers and
students, as well as parents. As a result, the significant contribution of technology is undeniable, particularly during
this pandemic. Face-to-face classes during this pandemic would be vastly different thanks to technological
advances. Enrolling students becomes much more streamlined and convenient as a result of this. Instead of mailing
forms or having families come in to pick them up, administrators can send forms to parents via email or a website
portal. Furthermore, especially today, parents need to know what is going on in their children's schools. Parents
can easily monitor their children using technology. Despite the fact that they are only at home or at work, they can
communicate with the school via social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and others. They
can easily stay up to date by using the Internet, and it would be easier to notify everyone, especially parents if there
are students who have symptoms of the virus. Finally, effective use of technology in schools can help to create a
safe environment through advanced health protocols. It can increase student engagement, assist teachers in
improving lesson plans, and facilitate personalized learning. Technology tools can not only make classes more
lively, but they can also help to create more inclusive and risk-free learning environments that encourage
collaboration and inquisitiveness, as well as allow teachers to collect data on student performance amidst the
pandemic.

The coronavirus has caused a significant shift in the fundamental way society operates. There are now
numerous obstacles in the way of life returning to normalcy. The result is that we need to practice better designs
and infrastructures to better deal with the next pandemic. Now is the time to make critical changes to the
educational system so that it is prepared to deal with any situation with tenacity. In addition, school health
protocols for face-to-face classes must be carefully planned, adhering to national and international guidelines, to
ensure that students are safe or at least mitigate the effects of COVID-19. After all, students' lives are as important
to them as their education. It is the responsibility of every government to see that it is carried out. The COVID-19
pandemic will have a long-term impact. Hopefully, this period of disruption and loss of life does not go in vain and
propels us toward a new way of life enhanced by science and technology in a way that improves the well-being of
all.
