Coronavirus is presumed to have led to devastating negative effects to millions of

people globally making youths and children to suffer greater societal shifts witnessed from

the attributes of the virus. The pandemic has attributed to negatively impacting all levels of

community members and causing a significant economy fallout as well. For youths the start

of the pandemic had caused several impacts on their mental, physical and social life. The

pandemic has resulted to creating a new life routine making us a part of an extraordinary

experience resulting to learning oneself and sharing life at a distance. Despite the negative

incidents attributed from covid-19, certain positive effects have resulted from the pandemic

presumed as a lesson to learning new innovative ideas and ways of interactions. The

undertaking presents an understanding of the various impacts of the pandemic that have

brought various positive outcomes to all societal levels especially the youths.

Health Impacts

Healthy routines have been established during the pandemic fostering the positive

impacts and mitigating negative perspectives presumed to result from it. The severity of the

pandemic has resulted to social trust and greater attitudes to monitoring any risk behaviors

that might attribute to getting the virus. Additionally, performing proper disinfection and

social distancing being a motivation. For instance, young people have indicated that

telehealth has attributed to enhancing positive impacts in healthcare systems promoting

utmost service quality in handling and diagnosing diseases (Verma and Sadguru 10). The

lock down period attributed to comprehending the importance of hand hygiene, sanitation and

social distancing. Besides, the pandemic is presumed an essential aspect to learning new

skills and new things revealing it prevalence to improving healthcare systems and advancing

researches on clinical trials to ensure viral diseases are avoided through adjusting to the basic

covid-19 concepts. The medical system addressed existing gaps in the medical sector to

improve human health more so for the teens. Thus, ascertaining to the negatives outcomes

resulted from covid-19 the interventions and provision of relevant concepts to counter the

spread enhanced adjustment of various hygiene protocols to our lives.

Educational Impacts

Schools are presumed better social environments contributing to development of

teenagers’ personal identity and maturity as well enhancing peer interaction and interpersonal

relationship. For instance, teens participation in school curricular and extracurricular

activities has greater outcomes to promoting our interpersonal relations, academic excellence,

psychological adjustment, sexual activity as well as substance abuse. The disruption of

schools, vocational education and universities segments created certain optional approaches

to covering the educational goals making it hard to reverse specific education gaps (Verma

and Sadguru 8). The new life routine imposed in schools such as wearing gloves and masks

and schools closing was a broader spectrum breaking down the normal daily routines.

Different assertions suggest that school environment acts a pivotal role in enhancing self-

definition and process of autonomy for teenagers and children (Verma and Sadguru 8). For

those with social anxiety, remote learning was appreciated creating a less structured nature

and ability to working at one’s own pace. The opportunity inspired by the pandemic ensured

discovering oneself transforming the education sector presenting an opportunity for personal

growth and self-disclosure reflecting on more on academic achievements and embracing the

e-learning system that replaced the traditional schooling system.

During the emergence of the pandemic a strong change in social and personal

environment was felt such as schools closing and briefly interrupting face-to-face peer

interactions. Despite the several assertions the pandemic resulted discovering oneself, an

experience of dedicating the pleasure of having lone time dedicated to learning new

innovative ideas, reading, painting, listening to good music as well as working out on our

own. For instance, the lockdown enhanced development of self-moratorium as lone time

attributed to having personal growth portraying positive impact in our current emergence of

our lives. Hence, although the challenges and difficulties in coping with the drift in personal

life, the pandemic has enabled us view life from different angles.

The emergence resulted to rediscovering our families, spending more time with

family members. The joy that comes with having precious times spent with family is a

moment that’s always appreciated since before the pandemic most of our parents’ times was

spent and work and few hours with family. For instance, the home environment acquires a

duplex meaning for teens during the pandemic such as being a loss of autonomy as well as

acting as an environment to rediscovering family providing opportunity for time spent with

family and ability to sharing different activities together (Verma and Sadguru 7).

Additionally, spending with grandparents was still a unique experience learning about

personal family roots. During lockdown period time quality time spent with family attributed

learning new technological innovations, skills, and fulfilling hobbies. Furthermore, through

family interactions many things as rediscovering board games compared to playing videos on

mobile phones. Thus, having time spent with family is a fundamental part of every society

member that enhances cultural and economic growth.

Environmental Impacts

The short-term period of covid-19 lockdown is presumed to have resulted to reducing

greenhouse gases emitted. For ages the climatic change has been among the most considered

aspect essential for human existence which for ages has resulted to creating amicable

interventions to providing sustainable environmental safeguard. The approach is presumed to

have impacted all three sectors of mainly sound, water and air pollution with big cities having

the largest fall ever on greenhouse emissions despite not being adequate to reaching the Paris

Agreement goals on global warming (Verma and Sadguru 4). For teens, reduction of

environmental crisis is essential to protecting and advocating for a better environment for the

coming generations. For instance, greater risks of environmental pollution are presumed to

impact hugely children as well as teens creating devasting health risks such as lung diseases

attributed from inhaling emissions from vehicles. Thus, the lockdown period reduced

emissions through limiting vehicles on the road which enhances a decrease in water and air

pollution as well as crimes and road accidents reducing tremendously.

Technological Impacts

Various discoveries and innovations have been conceptualized by teens during the

covid-19 pandemic to impact all spheres of life. Adopting to modernity has been the new

norm from service production to maintenance as well as strengthening new social integrity to

follow optimum use of available resources to satisfying their structural needs. For instance,

the period has enhanced utilization of various ideas, filtering knowledge gaps, new ways of

conveying information and learning new skills from developed technologies (Verma and

Sadguru 6). The avenue of technological advancements is essential to reducing stress levels

for all ages with the age of social distancing, technological devices have been a social lifeline

for several teens attributing improving emotional and mental health particularly during crisis.

Besides, the negative impacts during this time the different technologies implemented have

enhanced and strengthened livelihood of people creating avenues to socializing with outside

world creating contents and accessing contents based on their preferences.

The covid-19 pandemic period has created adverse effects towards different

communities, regions, families as well as globally pushing every aspect backward in every

sphere from social, economic to political spheres. It presumed the system caused various

kinds of social stigma, stress and depression attributed from the interruption of different

social systems. However, despites the challenges attributed from the pandemic, better

improved approaches have been integrated in our lives impacting our educational,

technological, health as well as our social interactions with various groups in the society.
