Review and Assessment

1. Is Globalization really a phenomenon?

- Yes, a long-standing phenomenon that is accelerating due to a number
of factors, the most important of which are improved trade, increased labor
and capital mobility, and improved technology. The technological revolution
and the social dimensions of modernity have enabled this increased
interconnectedness. Advances in technology have resulted in rapid and
dramatic improvements in communication and transportation capabilities. We
can now move ourselves, our consumer goods, our material and human
capital, and the values that comprise our respective cultures more easily,
quickly, and cheaply.
2. How is globalization important?
- Globalization now benefits us as a global community not only in
economic terms, but also in social, cultural, political, and environmental terms.
We wouldn't see as much cultural diversity as we do today without
international trade if it weren't for globalization. Globalization is a major reason
why individuals from all over the world can gather in large cities in
industrialized countries. We wouldn't have the physical or financial resources
to create enormous cities that employ thousands of people if it weren't for
international trade. It has had a significant influence on society and culture. It
enables people to learn about other cultures and ways of life that were
previously unavailable owing to geographical constraints.
How does globalization affect your life?

My life has been impacted by globalization in many ways. Because of

globalization, I've had the opportunity to try new and diverse products from
various countries. I'm becoming more conscious of the trend. I eat food from
other countries, listen to music from other countries, and watch dramas from
other countries. Apps like Messenger, Facebook, and others have made it
easier to communicate with anyone on a more regular and high-quality basis.
There is no problem with the distance. Consider what would have happened if
globalization had not altered the way we communicate and shop online during
this difficult period. Combating the spread of COVID-19 would have been
even more difficult than it appears to be. Because of the influence of other
cultures on me, it has changed my lifestyle, food and clothing habits, and
even my views on certain topics.

Conceptualize the definition of globalization in your own.

- Put simply, globalization is the process of bringing people from all over
the world together. When corporations, organizations, and countries begin to
operate on a global scale, a more open and accepting mindset emerges.
