II. SUMMARY

Since the pandemic started, no specific treatment against the disease is available. Therefore, Covid-
19 vaccine hesitancy is still an ongoing concern. The success of a vaccine depends not only on its efficacy, but
also its acceptance.

Pregnant women are classified as a high-risk population for COVID-19 infection but they have not
been included in any COVID-19 vaccine clinical trials. However, public health authorities proposed that
COVID-19 vaccines should be available for pregnant women if they prefer to be vaccinated. In this matter,
this article aims to determine the acceptance and hesitancy attitudes towards COVID-19 vaccines in pregnant
women.

III. NURSING IMPLICATIONS

A. To Nursing Practice

Despite deeming that pregnant women are a high-risk population, no vaccine trials have focused on
pregnant women for COVID-19. So, the greatest concern about the COVID-19 vaccine in the refusal group
was a lack of data about safety in the pregnant population.
As a nurse, we are responsible for giving proper explanation about the vaccine and this study is
important for us to be knowledgeable on what we are saying because they trust are words and one mistake
could lead them on danger.

B. To Nursing Education

Women's health authorities have recommended that pregnant women discuss vaccination decisions
with their healthcare providers. However, it is important to highlight the risks and benefits of vaccines. Our
field it is important for us to provide and extend information for them not to miss out any treatments. In this
case we can also see the significance and essence of health teaching.

C. To Nursing Research

According to the study the benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine is recommended by health authorities
for administration during pregnancy. However, I think that further research into the effect and symptoms
should be conducted in order to guarantee that pregnant women are safe. In this nurses have an essential
role on assessing patients to create vaccination strategies in the prevention and control of COVID-19.

IV. PERSONAL INSIGHTS

I agree that COVID-19 vaccines should be carefully studied for the pregnant women. Health professionals
recommended that they can be vaccinated and if the pregnant agrees, I suggest that they should consult them
physicians first and should be briefed about the risks and benefits of the vaccinations.
