1. SECURITY and SAFETY MEASURES

ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL
➢ All employees should follow security and safety measures.
➢ All employees are required to wear a mask prior to entry in the premises. Employer will provide
cotton face mask.

o Replenishment in shoes dip is every 4 hours interval
➢ Security personnel and employees should observe social distancing while conducting
inspection.
➢ All returning employees must provide their latest contact information and inform the company
immediately.
➢ Employees who will be tested positive of COVID-19 are required to present a Return to Work
Order from the Bureau of Quarantine of the DOH before they can report back to work.
➢ All medically compromised employees are not advised to return to work (Heart Problem,
Diabetic, Weak Lungs, etc.)
➢ Senior Citizen are not allowed to report to work given their condition
➢ Pregnant women are not allowed to report to work
➢ No visitors allowed in Head Office and Commissaries until the government will state the
pandemic no longer exist.
➢ All truck drivers and passengers should undergo with all safety and security measures prior
entering the premises.
➢ All suppliers and 3rd Party Service Providers are required to fill-up Health Declaration Form
(SFGC-QA-FR-11B).

➢ A provision of foot disinfection area and hand disinfection area at Entrances

duties.

2. HAND HYGIENE
ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL
A recommendation to hand washing with soap and water or hand sanitizing with alcoholic solutions,
gels or tissues to maintain clean hands and fingernails. It should be performed frequently with soap

and water for at least 20 seconds. Alcohol or Hand Sanitizing Gel will be provided on all entrances for
Head Office and Commissaries. Hand sanitizing gel will be provided on all hand washing facility for
Head Office and Commissaries.
➢ Before and after preparing food
➢ Before and after eating
➢ After using the toilet
➢ After coughing or sneezing into a tissue (or if non-compliant with respiratory etiquette)
➢ After removal of face mask and gloves
➢ After handling body fluid-contaminated waste or laundry
➢ Whenever hands look dirty

If soap and water are not available:


➢ Hands can be cleaned with an alcohol-based hand sanitizer (ABHS) that contains at least 70%
alcohol, ensuring that all surfaces of the hands are covered (e.g. front and back of hands as well
as between fingers) and rubbed together until they feel dry.
➢ For visibly soiled hands, soiling should be removed with an alcohol-based hand wipe first,
followed by use of ABHS.

HSE CONTROL
➢ Provision of hand wash or hand rub areas on ingress and egress in the following areas
(entrances, pantry, canteen).

3. RESPIRATORY ETIQUETTE
Recommending a combination of measures intended to minimize the dispersion of large particle
respiratory droplets when a person is coughing, sneezing and talking to reduce virus transmission.
ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL
➢ Cover mouth when coughing and sneezing with a surgical mask or tissue.
➢ Cough/sneeze into the bend of your arm, not your hand.
➢ Disposal of tissues in a lined waste container and perform hand hygiene immediately after a
coughing or sneezing.
➢ Regular disposal and collection of waste container in designated area and disinfection is a must.

➢ Provision of waste container in the area where a volume of employees is identified.

PPE
➢ Mandatory wearing of cotton face mask
o Consistently and properly worn is required
▪ Cloth Face Mask (personal mask being used outside the working area as required
by LGU). This mask shall not be used when at work.
▪ Cloth Face mask (issued by the company) shall be used while on duty. It is
washable and should be washed daily.
▪ Production and Warehouse personnel shall still use the previously issued White
Cotton Mask while in the work area.
o Regularly inspected, maintained, and replaced, as necessary
o Properly removed, cleaned, and stored or disposed of, as applicable, to avoid
contamination of self, others, or the environment

4. ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANING AND VENTILATION


ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL
➢ Pre-operation Cleaning and Sanitation of working areas in reference to regular cleaning and
sanitizing procedure.
➢ Routine cleaning of frequently used surfaces and objects to help to prevent the transmission of
COVID-19 to help to mitigate the risk of people becoming infected through self-inoculation after
touching contaminated surfaces.
➢ Cleaning of frequently touched areas such as toilets, tables, light switches and door handles
should be first cleaned (to physically remove dirt) and disinfected daily using detergent and
Sanitizer with the following dilution:
o Sanitizing solution preparation for Office Surfaces
▪ 1-liter Water + 1.33 mL Chlorinex
▪ 5-liter Water + 6.56 mL Chlorinex
▪ 10-liter water + 13.31 mL Chlorinex
o Holding Time of Sanitizing Solution is 4 hours maximum
o Wiping frequency of the surfaces is every 2 hours interval
➢ Frequently touched electronics such as phones, computers and other devices may be
disinfected with 70% alcohol (e.g. alcohol prep wipes). All used disposable contaminated items
should be placed in a lined container before disposal.
➢ Workplaces settings are encouraged to clean highly touched surfaces (e.g. phones, washrooms,
tables)

➢ It is also recommended that items that cannot be easily cleaned (e.g., newspapers, magazines)
to be removed.
➢ Cleaning and Sanitizing of water dispenser should be done every two (2) hours.
➢ Locker area should be cleaned and sanitized twice daily.

HSE CONTROL
➢ A recommendation for increasing ventilation (e.g. opening windows when weather permits)

PPE
➢ Mandatory wearing of mask, hand gloves and foot protection to all employees in-charge on area
disinfection (Maintenance and Housekeeping personnel).

5. SOCIAL DISTANCING
Social distancing is recommended as measure taken to minimize close contact with others in the
community. This includes community-based approaches (e.g. avoiding crowding, workplace measures
and closures, public/mass gathering cancellations).
ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL
➢ Stop shaking hands to greet others
➢ Limiting the workforce in a particular area with at least six (6) feet distance between
employees.
➢ Instituting new work hours or shifts.
➢ Observance of flexible working arrangements and work rotation will be implemented.
➢ Resumption of work be on staggered basis sufficient to complete a production line preferably,
not to exceed Fifty Percent (50%) of the work force.
➢ Use of demarcation line to aid on queuing of personnel.

➢ Consider cancelling non-essential meetings. If needed, hold meetings via video conferencing
or phone call until the declaration of controls state by the government.
➢ Put off large meetings to a later date
➢ Hold essential meetings outside in the open air if possible and observing the physical distancing
with strict caution.

➢ Staggered breaktime for Commissary personnel will be implemented to control quantity of


personnel inside the canteen.
➢ Eat lunch at your desk or outside rather than in the Pantry Area. Disposal of food waste should
be on the trash bin at Pantry Area.
➢ Limit food handling and sharing of food in the workplace
➢ Promote strict hygiene among food preparation (canteen) staff and their close contacts.
Employees are encouraged to bring their own utensils.
➢ Canteen personnel should ensure proper washing of canteen utensils.

6. PERSONAL HEALTH MONITORING


ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL
➢ If an employee develops symptoms of COVID-19, he should seek-out medical advice for further
evaluation and treatment.
➢ In the event of sickness, eligible employees are entitled to use of the following:

➢ Those with queries can call the DOH COVID-19 Emergency Hotlines 02-894-COVID (02-894-

➢ If and when confirmed, employee should inform the employer for identification of close contact.
➢ Workers who are in close contact will be required to undergo quarantine for 14days.
➢ If the test result of the suspected employee is negative, co-employees may return back to work.
➢ Employer will coordinate with the following for further assistance and endorsement

7. INTERNATIONAL AND LOCAL TRAVEL


ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL
➢ Avoid non-essential travel
➢ Employees are required to disclose travel trips to their respective Department Heads and to HR
Dept.
➢ Employees are also required to disclose travel history of their family members.

8. COMPLIANCE AND MONITORING


ADMINISTRATIVE CONTROL
➢ HSE Dept. used the Preventive and Mitigation of COVID-19 at Work Checklist from UN –
International Labour Organization to evaluate the completeness of our COVID-19 Preventive
Measures
➢ Compliance monitoring shall be conducted as follows:
o Daily monitoring shall be done by the HR Personnel at Head Office (or as required by the
LGU or by the Law)
o Daily monitoring shall be done by the HSE Officer at Commissary
o Daily Monitoring shall be done by QA inside production and Warehouse
➢ Compliance rating for this audit should be 100%. Consolidation and analysis of daily monitoring
shall be done by HSE Officer for immediate corrective action plans.
➢ The employer should provide DOLE through its Regional Office copy furnished DOH monthly
reporting of illness, diseases and injuries utilizing the DOLE Work Accident/ Illness Report Form
(WAIR).
