READ ME FIRST NOTE for the Information Framework Release 15.5.

This READ ME FIRST note provides the list of Information Framework documents and the suggested
order in which to read the documents.

This Information Framework (also known as SID) Suite Release 15.5.1 consists of the following

Importing the RSA Models:

Importing SID 15.5 RSA model and profiles using the SID RSA UML model zip file:

1. Start RSA and create a new workspace


2. Create a project in the workspace
3. Import the project archive zip file using Import/General/Archive File
4. Use Windows/Preferences/Modeling/PathMaps to create a path map that references the folder
that contains the SID profiles created in step 2. The name of the path map is SIDProfiles. Do not
expand the model in the browser view until this has been done.
5. You are ready to start using the SID by expanding the SID model in the browser view!

To load the Network Information Architecture into RSA:

1. Create an empty project called “NetworkResourceArchitectureAndPatterns” (or similar)


a. Select File > New > Project
b. Press “Next”
c. Name the project “NetworkResourceArchitectureAndPatterns”
d. Press “Finish”
2. Select the new project “NetworkResourceArchitectureAndPatterns” in the project explorer and
import the archive file NetworkResourceArchitectureAndPatterns.zip into the project
a. Select File > Import > General > Archive File
b. Press “Next”
c. Browse to select and open the location of the
NetworkResourceArchitectureAndPatterns.zip archive file on your system
d. Press Finish
3. You are now ready to browse the Network Resource Information Architecture and Pattern
Sketches

To load the Umbrella Information Model into RSA:

1. Create an empty project called “UmbrellaInformationModel” (or similar)


a. Select File > New > Project
b. Press “Next”
c. Name the project “UmbrellaInformationModel”
d. Press “Finish”
2. Select the new project “UmbrellaInformationModel” in the project explorer and import the
archived UmbrellaInformationModel into the project
a. Select File > Import > General > Archive File
b. Press “Next”
c. Browse to select and open the location of the UmbrellaInformationModel.zip archive
file on your system
d. Press Finish
3. You are ready to start using the Umbrella Network Information Model
