System Requirements
 Important: Beginning with Windows 10 and Oracle 12.1.0.2, Microsoft and Oracle will enforce the
Internet Host Table Specification RFC 952 which mandates that component hostname labels can
contain only alphanumeric characters. Hostnames using underscores (‘_’) are not allowed. Refer
to Oracle Support Articles 1603775.1 and 1957895.1 and Microsoft KB 101785.
For the system requirements of this product, please refer to the Intergraph Smart Interop
Publisher Requirements section of the Intergraph Smart Interop Publisher Installation Guide
(InteropPublisherInstallGuide.pdf) located in "Help" folder on the install media.

Version Compatibility
For up-to-date information on the software compatibility of this product in a standalone or
integrated environment, please refer to the Compatibility Matrix on the Hexagon PPM Support

Log on and perform the following steps:

1. Click the View Downloads tab.

2. Click the Product Compatibility link under Useful Links on the right side.
3. On the PPM Compatibility Matrix - Product Report page, from the Select Product list, select
Intergraph Smart Interop Publisher.
4. From the Version list, select the version of Intergraph Smart Interop Publisher.

For information about authoring tool versions that work with a particular version of SmartPlant
Foundation, select SPFoundation in step 3.

Special Instructions
Special instructions for installation and upgrading.
Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Update 2 (x86) Re-distributable MUST be installed prior to installing
Intergraph Smart Interop Publisher for installation to work properly.
Intergraph Smart Interop Publisher requires a Microsoft SQL server to run. Customers must
download, install and configure the appropriate version from Microsoft. More information can be
found in the Intergraph Smart Interop Publisher Installation and Setup Guide. Once configured, a
user with proper rights must create site and project databases before any publishing or translation
can be done.
To schedule jobs, ensure Batch Services 2010 SP1 (06.01.09.00) is installed, create account
mapping, and run Intergraph Smart Interop Publisher as administrator for the first time (this is
done to create the queue).
To use the SmartPlant Foundation publishing features of Intergraph Smart Interop Publisher, a
SmartPlant License Manager (SPLM) server with valid SIP and SPF licenses must be available.
