denims.Levi's traditional target market included males
between the ages of 15 and 25, but the "It's Wide Open"

age. Levi's initial Wide Leg jeans campaign, "Make
Room," targeted the youth market in an attempt to gain
popularity and loyalty. The secret to the longevity of
Levi’s actually isn’t a secret at all. The company uses
classic brand-building principles to maintain and grow
its brand equity. These are fundamental ideals that

power. The Levi's range in India included the iconic
Levi’s 501 Jeans, Levi’s Red Tab, and Levi’s Diva,

aspiration, innovation and pricing. In India, Levi’s entered

with a new brand named 'Denizen' in order to capture the
middle segment of the Indian market. The new denim
brand targeted Indian youth aged between 18 to 28
years with a view to satisfy them with the best fitting

kameez, and dupattas that she launched in 1986.

remains the brand's ethos today: fashion at an
affordable price. In time, new range collections
were introduced. Today, the mix-and-match range
has a very contemporary sensibility, and the salwar
-kameez range is very ethnic, defined by an Indian
crafted look, hand-block prints, and vegetable dyes.
