With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:
- read any text in which the writer adopts particular grammar structures and
vocabulary through different tasks according to the CEFR level B2.
- write clear, detailed texts on a wide range of subjects through different writing
exercises according to the CEFR level B2.
- understand the main idea(s) of general audios on concrete and abstract topics,
including technical discussions through lectures and conversations featured in
an upper intermediate level.
The activity consists of:
Step 1
- Attend the second web conference of the course. Take a screenshot of your
participation to be posted in the forum. If you do not participate, watch the
recording of such web conference, and write a summary to be posted in the
forum. The summary should have at least 200 words. It should be
professionally written, with proper punctuation, spelling, grammar, and proper
citation.
- Go to the Learning Environment and check the Course Contents and
Bibliographic References for Unit 2: Once Upon a Time. Read about read-aloud
characteristics; practice the grammar structure of Phrasal Verbs, Relative
Clauses and Reported Speech.

- Watch and listen to a couple of tales in English Fairy Tales as for you to gather
some tips on read aloud characteristics, voices, tones, tempos, pronunciation,
intonation, and accent.
Step 2
- Go to the page Masterpiece Generator and generate your own Fairytale online.
Use familiar vocabulary in the required spaces and be sure your spelling is
right.

- Once you finish, click on the bottom Write me a fairytale and then to Publish.

Share the link in the forum so that others can visualize your creation. You can
also copy and paste your fairytale directly in the forum.

- Create an interactive flipbook with animated page turning effects to organize
your fairytale. Use any app you want. Information about flipbooks can be found
at Winstead, S. (n.d.). Top 10 Flipbook Software Programs for Creating
Interactive Books [Web Page]. https://myelearningworld.com/top-10-flipbook-
software-programs-for-creating-interactive-books/. Share the link of your
flipbook in the forum to confirm it works and get feedback.
Step 3
- After having done the flipbook, you are to create a video reading aloud your
fairytale. The reading time cannot exceed 12 minutes; a proper reading should
take around 10 minutes total. The video must show the flipbook and your face
while reading the fairytale aloud. Use screencast-o-matic to do so. The quality
of the sound and the image are to be done the best possible. After having the
video, you must upload it in an online space: YouTube, Tutv, Google Videos,
etc. Share the link in the forum to confirm it works and to get feedback from
your e-mates and tutor if necessary.
