An extraordinary battle kung

sa diin kakaiba gid ang ana nga inagyan. Pero in the end kang hard battle, it was said to him, that he had a big
win for God. Kag ang ana nga ngaran ay si Eleazar.

2 Samuel 23:9-10 (MSG)

Eleazar son of Dodai the Ahohite was the next of the elite Three. He was with David when the Philistines
poked fun at them at Pas Dammim. When the Philistines drew up for battle, Israel retreated. But Eleazar
stood his ground and killed Philistines right and left until he was exhausted- but he never let go of his
sword! A big win for God that day. The army then rejoined Eleazar, but all there was left to do was the
cleanup.

Si Eleazar sara tana sa ginatawag nga great three soldiers ni David. Kay si David may tatlo tana ka mga
kung kanaton pa baskugan gid nga mga sundalo. Kag sara rigto si Eleazar nga imaw ni David kang ginlusob
nanda ang mga Philisteo. Garing kang ginlusob nanda ang mga Philisteo, amat2 pirde ang mga Israelita. So ang
iba nga mga Israelita kang nakita ang sitwasyon nga to nga amat2 run snda pirde, nag-atras liban kay Eleazar.
Ginharap na tanan nga mga Philisteo. Imagine Sara versus sa duro2 nga Philisteo. (Explaining further the verse)

Eleazar was able to have a Big Win for God. I believe tanan kita can also have a big win for God.
Amen? So kadya lantawon ta “What are the areas of our life that we should have a big win for God? And How
can we have a big win for God?

First, what are the areas of our life that we should have a big win for God?

1. A BIG WIN FOR GOD OVER… LIFE’S TRIBULATION

So andut gingamit ako ang term nga tribulation? Actually pwede ko man gamiton ang word nga testings,
trials, kay I believe in what we are facing now, in
Matthew 24:21
For at that time there will be a great tribulation (pressure, distress, oppression); such as has not
occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will (again).

That’s why ginagamit ko ang word nga tribulation kay gintaw-an tana ka meaning nga
PRESSURE, DISTRESS, OPPRESSION

Tribulation- distress or suffering resulting from oppression or persecution.

Dahil sa ginaharap ta kadya nga sitwasyon all over the world, lockdown, limitado ang pagguwa,
napressure ikaw, nadepress kaw, nadistress kaw, tanan2 nga suffering, trouble, pain, matawag mo rn mn
tana nga life’s tribulation.

Life Testimony: (FACEBOOK MEMORIES)

Ako mismo kis-a gapangasubo man. Kaoin pa si Facebook bay may ginaflash nga Memories 2
years ago and so on. Kato makapagusto ako agto, bisita kag dara lagaw naman sa mga lugar ka mga
churchmates ta like kto sa Igcococ, Mabini kag sa iba pa nga mga brgy. Kadya tana limitado kag
ginahambalan rn kita nga Stay at Home. Makahambal lamng kita kis.a nga “San-o ja matapos man ang
pandemic?” Biskan ano pa man ang mga himuon ta, makabatyag ta gd kis-a kang sadness. Tanan man
guro kita nakabatyag kang pangasubo sa 1 year and 3 months nga pandemic nga dya.
 Ang feeling bala nga gusto mo rn liwat magkaroon kang big gatherings dya church nga
gaoverflow ka young people kag magbira ka praising sa Ginoo. Pero di pwede kay bawal rn kadya mass
gathering kag 50% capacity lang gd allowed.
Gustong gusto mo rn magkaouting liwat dara water baptism pero hindi pwede. Diba ka-sad gd.
May jan man nga mga naduraan rn ka ubra d pa makauli.
Pati nag-iisa nga source of living/income mo, nadura pa. But in

1 Cor. 10:13,

We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be
faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you
face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust Him more for along with
every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.

… (so that you can bear it) Hambala bi sa kaugalingon mo, “Kaya ko dya!”

So biskan may testings, biskan may mga life’s tribulations kita nga ginaatubang, pressure ikaw sa
gatabo, distress ikaw, depress ikaw, may oppression, but still hambal kang Ginoo… He will provide a
way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously!

Biskan ano pa man ang ginaatubang mo, lagi mo isipon “I will have a BIG WIN” Kaya ko dya!
Malampasan ko dya! Because God will give me victory over this life’s tribulations.

2. A BIG WIN FOR GOD OVER THE… LIES OF THE ENEMY

1 Peter 5:8

Maging handa kayo at magbantay. Ang diyablo, ang kaaway ninyo ay parang leong umaatungol
at aali-aligid na naghahanap ng masisila.

Do you know that this pandemic? Exactly 1 year and 3 months, ginatake advantage man kang kaaway
para hadlangan kita nga maka serve sa Ginoo. The enemy is taking advantage of every believer now.
Kay dapat sa kadya nga sitwasyon , we must be the salt and the light of this world. Pero ano ang natabo?
Daw nadura run man ang salt and light. Naabay tunaw run kang pandemic.

(Lantawa bi ingod mo kun wara man natunaw? Bukot man pundido?) 

Ang gusto kang Ginoo, we must have a big win over the lies of the enemy.

Kag ano bala ang tatlo (3) ka deadly works of the enemy in our lives.

A. DECEPTION.

Ginalinlang kita esp. in this time of pandemic.Makapaminsar kita ka mga bagay nga di nami kag sala.
Ginabaton ta lamang nga normal ang manghina kag madura sa Gawain kang Ginoo. Wara run pag pray,
wara run pag attend life group, wara run pag attend trainings, wara run pag attend Sunday service,
ginabaton nalang nga gapanghina kay pandemic. But I tell you, that is the deception of the enemy.
Remember ikaw ang salt and light of this world. Dapat gashine ikaw, gaangat ikaw ghapon. Pero ang
ginabutang kanaton kang kaaway, gakaroon kita kang deception.

“Pandemic man, di lang ako anay magministry”

“Ok lang nga di lang anay mag-life group ay pandemic man”
“Di lang anay magtraining ay pandemic man”
“Mahalin ako anay sa music ministry, pandemic man”

Di pag himua nga rason ang pandemic kay Lord. Why? May mas makalabaw pa haw sa power ni Lord?
Ang pandemic nga dya kaya na pirdehon ang kaya himuon kang Ginoo sa life mo?

Did God stop doing something in your life? No! Pero andt ikaw kay pandemic, nagstop kaw?Brothers
and sisters you may be deceived. Actually sakit kag budlay batunon.

Di lang nakun anay pagtao tithes ko kay duro pa kinanglanon namun nga pamilya, pandemic man.
Nalipatan mo guro nga, the source of your strength and the source of what you have, is God on High.

Pandemic mung… No! Deception kang kaaway rah.

Pangarwa, pag nagkaroon kaw rn kang deception, ang sunod,

B. DISTRACTION

Wara rn kaw sa focus. Di mo rn man-an kun ano himuon mo.

Wara rn kaw pagbasa ka Word of God,

Wara rn kaw ti prayer life
Wara rn kaw pag-attend ka fellowship, and yet you consider yourself as a Christian?

How can you live that way? Brothers and sisters you’re a Christian. Duro distractions kadya.
Samtang gapamati ikaw kaja, tuod bala nga nakafocus gd ikaw o distracted?

Deception… Distraction

C. DESTRUCTION
Asta sa makita mo run lang nga nagadura rn ang relationship mo sa Lord, your spiritual life,
your Christian life. Ano hambal sa John 10:10 … We know this very much..

John 10:10
The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life, and
have it in abundance (to the full, until it overflows).

The enemy’s ultimate goal in our life is to bring destruction. Ang gin-kid-an rn kang Ginoo, Nag gin buo
rn kang Ginoo, ang goal kang kaaway, gub-on rah liwat. Kag sa ano rah nga paraan? Deception,
Distraction and finally pag nakasulod rn ganeh ang kaaway mangguba rn.
 Ang masakit nadeceive kaw rn, distracted kaw rn, nasa destruction kw rn, wra jpon tmu kmaan. Or wara
mo lang ginasapak kag ginapabay-an mo lang? Kis-a kita mo rn brothers and sisters mo, deceive rn,
distracted rn, nsa destruction rn, bay-an mo lang.
God wants us to have a big win over the lies of the enemy.

1 Peter 5:9

But resist him, be firm in your faith (against his attack- rooted, established, immovable), knowing
that the same experiences by your brothers and sisters throughout the world. (You do not suffer
alone). (EXPLAIN AS THE SPIRIT LEADS)

3. WE MUST HAVE A BIG WIN FOR GOD BY… LIVING HIS MANDATE.

Ano ang mandate ni Lord kanaton?

Matthew 28: 16-20

Go therefore and make disciple of all nations (help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and
obey My words), baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always
(remaining with you perpetually- regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion), even to the
end of the age. (EXPLAIN AS THE SPIRIT LEADS)

II. HOW TO HAVE A BIG WIN FOR GOD?

1. STAND UP ON YOUR GROUND

Napirde ang mga Israelita, nag-atrasan, liban kay Eleazar. Ginharap na solo ang mga Philisteo.

My dear brothers and sisters, Yes! Duro ang nag-atras dahil sa mga grabe nga pagsubok. Duro ang
nagstop tungod sa mga kabudlayan nga ginaagyan. Pero tandaan ta duro man ang nag-untat, duro
man ang nag-atras, duro man ang nadura, pero may sangka Eleazar nga nagdesisyon nga
magpadayon sa gyera. I hope my dear brothers and sisters hindi kaw rn mgdugang pa sa mga nag-
atras, kunding idugang mo ang kaugalingon mo sa patas ni Eleazar nga willing to have a big win for
God.

Find yourself in a strong foundation, your ground, your strong foundation is your relationship with
God. Amuh gd rah ang hindi mo pag-ibuy-an. Stay in the battle. (EXPOUND NGA DESPITE
NAFEEL MO IKAW NALANG SARA GAPADAYON) Hindi pag bayae ang gn.entrust kanimu ni
Lord. Hindi pag atrase ang bisan anuman nga atake kang kaaway. Don’t give up in this battle, kay
tandaan mo the battle does not belong to you.

All you have to do is to make a decision “I will stand up, I will stay, because God is fighting for me”
Amen?
 Matthew 24:13
“Staying with it- that’s what God requires. Stay with it to the end. You won’t be sorry, and you’ll
be saved.

Stand Up your ground. Stay until the end.

James 1:12
If your faith remains strong, even while surrounded by life’s difficulties, you will continue to
experience the untold blessings of God! True happiness comes as you pass the test with faith, and
received the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God!

2. STRIKE DOWN THE ENEMY

2 SAMUEL 23:10
Eleazar stood up and struck down the Philistines until his hand was weary and clung to the
sword. The Lord brought about a great victory that day; the people returned after him only to
take the spoil (of the stain)
JAMES 4:7-10
So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet
yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit
playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious,
really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your
feet.

SCAMPER = RUN
DABBLING = ENTERTAINING
HIT BOTTOM- HUMBLING DOWN AS YOU KNEEL TO GOD

3. STICK TO THE SWORD

2 SAMUEL 23:10
But he stood his ground and fought the Philistines until his hand was weary and stuck to the
sword. But the Lord accomplished a great victory that day. The troops then returned to
Eleazar, but only to plunder the dead.

In the New Testament the Sword represents the Word of God. (EPHESIANS 6:17)

If you want to have a Big Win for God, hold the Word of God. Panghawakan mo ang Word of God.
Kung ginhambal ganeh ni Lord nga

Philippians 1:6
He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ,

Panghawakan mo. Hindi man name ang mga gatabo, panghawakan mo ang Word of God.

Ano nga Word of God ang ginapanghawakan mo sa kabuhi mo? Ano nga mga promises ni Lord sa
kabuhi mo nga padayon mo nga ginapanghawakan? Kapti hindi pagbuy.i 

Nahimu ni Elezar nga mapirde ang anda kontra. He was able to have a big win for God because the
Sword was in his hands. And that Sword is the Word of God.
My dear brothers and sisters, I believe as you are hearing this message, God has a Word for you. 

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active and full of power (making it operative, energizing, and
effective). It is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating as far as the division of the soul
and spirit (the completeness of a person), and of both joints and marrow (the deepest parts of
our nature), exposing and judging the very thoughts and intentions of the heart.

Conclusion:

As we end the theme for this month I am free, I am Prepared for Eternity, may we all walk in the
