DIALOGUE

MARIA: Hi Gustavo, How are you?

GUSTAVO: I am good María, How about you?

MARIA: I am Great, thank you. I was thinking about how things will change after the pandemic and
now I have some questions.

GUSTAVO: Really? What kind of questions do you have? You can ask me some of them if you
want to.

MARIA: I was just wondering. How will the future of children be after the pandemic?

GUSTAVO: I think children will definitely be able to have a more complete education, because the
classes will be face-to-face. However, home school will definitely be an option in the future for people
with computers and Wifi.

MARIA: That’s a good point. What do you think will happen to some business after this
pandemic?

(GUSTAVO): I think some businesses will definitely close. I think that because some of them
won’t be able to re - open because they don’t have the economic resources to do that.

(MARIA) That’s really sad. Will people be wearing masks after getting the vaccine?

(GUSTAVO) Yes, they will. There will definitely be people wearing masks, because we don’t know
the exact treatment for this illness, so we need to keep wearing masks until we can know how to
reduce the symptoms and how to cure this illness.

(GUSTAVO) I want to know your thoughts. What do you think will be the future in the world for
getting a vaccine for covid 19?

(MARIA) I think there will be less people getting sick, because people will have protection. Also,
by that time, there will be a better treatment to cure this illness. However, that probably won’t be soon,
because there are a lot of countries that don’t have access to the vaccine.
GUSTAVO: That’s true, but there must be good things. How will nature be after the pandemic?

MARIA: There will definitely be more green areas than usual. The pollution will decrease and the
animals of the jungle will return to their home. I think that's because illegal hunting has decreased. On
the other hand, people have become more conscious about nature, so, there probably won’t be
contaminated oceans.

GUSTAVO: That would be fantastic. What do you think will be the future of water in the world
after the pandemic?

MARIA: There probably won’t be enough water, or water will be reduced, because, at the moment it is
being used in all countries for hygiene, but lots of people don’t have access to water. In the future,
countries will be fighting for water.

GUSTAVO: That is sad but true. I hope this ends soon.

MARIA: I hope that too.
