1. What is the level of Artisans’ ability special Skills, training, and Knowledge about crafts?
- The level of artisan in terms of her professional skills is I can say it is high level because the
finest making of the product is neat and clean that we can see the finest detail is so nice to see and
it’s so productive when we witness the process of the product, and the artisan she can impart of
her knowledge to the women who are willing to learn and to be part of her growing business for
the overall look of one of her crafts is so very known that can be export to the other country to be
known of the arrest craft that can only be made by the high level of skills of the artisan.
2. The artisan Craft in relation to their physical environment, historical trends, traditions, social
movements and cultural values?
- The artisan craft in relation to the physical environment is so form for the natural resources and
form in natural process to be made and to extract to get the finest fiber to mix and made to every
processes of the craft that can be known in their place as “abaca lubid maker” that can be made
such as bag, purse, and wallet. In historical trends is I can say that based from the artisan answered
to us during interview it is their ancestors that passed down to their generation to continue to make
according to the history of their clan that they can catch up to the trend of people nowadays to be
able to make that suitable to this generation to be known in the community. For their tradition is
always passed down to continue in making the craft they good at. By the artisan social movements
is spreading and known by the different places of who is the buyers, or the person wants to order
their crafts and they socialize and has been marketed and promoted to the community to keep in
touch the native maker of the bicol crafts to be involve in social movements where the native
crafters are joining in the movement to be known by the country in their original crafts. While the
artisans craft regarding to her cultural values is so very good in preserving their value in creating
crafts that their only things they want is to be loved and accept by the country the native crafts that
belong to us to help in nurturing their businesses and to be known in every part of the country
about their cultural value they preserving and passing down to her next generation who will inherit
their will in crafting crafts.
3. What is your task to the group? Did you like the style of your video content intended for video
presentation?
- My task for the group that assigned to me is to video the processes of the crafts, however, the
style of video contents style is of course I like it, we are so proud of our videography skills we
have for the video presentation and its contents.
