 Plot

- The story was all about Camus and Meding, Camus is being punished for their own good and
for them to learn because of their indolence. They are the people of consequences and
ascend their status and position by their hard work to have a social stratification. As they
worked hard and already have a high status in their life, it leads to unhappiness and less
appreciation of the simple things around.

o Striving too much can have excessive change in personality just like Meding who
become a fierce laborer.

- Having a high social stratification doesn’t mean you’re always good and well. Having a high
position in the society doesn’t mean you’re always happy. Sometimes, it will lead to
unhappiness and you’ll not see the simple things around you.
