To Whom It May Concern,

It is a pleasure to recommend Justine Rodriguez, for the Hunter College Dance Education
Program. She would be an excellent candidate for this program based on her passion, talent, and
experience in dance.
I have known Ms. Rodriguez for many years. I became acquainted with her when we both
attended a local Latin dance studio (Lorenz Latin Dance Studio). She was in some of my classes
and performances, until Ms. Rodriguez quickly advanced as a professional dancer and
instructor. She was very young when I first met her, but it was plain to see Ms. Rodriguez had a
future in dance.
When I learned Ms. Rodriguez was interested in becoming a dance teacher, I suggested and
recommended she work at my school (PS 376) where I taught dance. Thus, Ms. Rodriguez was
hired in an after-school program, teaching dance. She did a wonderful job as a dance instructor
and displayed an excellent rapport with the students. This experience provided Ms. Rodriguez
the opportunity to shadow and observe me teaching K-5 dance. During this time Ms. Rodriguez,
was very diligent and engaged in the planning process, developing lessons meeting the Blueprint
Standards. She was a hard-working conscientious student, during this educational endeavor. In
fact, it was a pleasure to see Miss Rodriguez interact with the students.
Miss Rodriguez will be an asset and promising student in your dance education program. She
has continuously excelled in this art form throughout her career in dance, not only as a performer
but as a teacher. Therefore Ms. Rodriguez will excel in your dance program towards her future
endeavors. It is for this reason I highly recommend her to attend your dance program at Hunter
College. I believe Ms. Rodriguez will be a valuable asset as a member of the dance educational
community.

Respectfully,

Elizabeth Scelisi/Dance Educator
