ANSWER SHEET TO THE GUIDING QUESTIONS

1. WHATS IS ERGONOMICS?
It is the discipline that is responsible for the design of workplaces, tools and tasks, so that
they match the physiological, anatomical, psychological characteristics and the

capabilities of the workers who will be involved. It seeks the optimization of the three
elements of the system (human-machine-environment), for which it develops methods of
the person, the technique and the organization.

2. WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
Is to promote health and well-being, reduce accidents and improve business productivity.
This discipline has a lot to contribute, since the risks of musculoskeletal problems, fatigue
and accidents can be reduced when work organization is improved.
3. HOW DO YOU IMPLEMENT ERGONOMICS IN YOUR DAILY LIFE?

In ergonomics, the relationships of the average measurements of people and their bodily
functions are studied, such as sitting, walking, lying down and others, objects are
designed to facilitate them, creating comfort and avoiding inconveniences that mean any
possible physical damage.

4. MENTION TWO DIFFERENCES BETWEEN ERGONOMICS AT WORK BEFORE AND AFTER PANDEMIC
COVID -19.

Ergonomics at work with pandemic COVID:

USE OF PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT / SANITARY PRODUCTS

 That allow a 180º view with the face shields.

 A face shield strap of at least 10 mm in diameter thickness.
 As far as possible, the massive reading of documentation in the
in case screens or face glasses must be worn, taking into account the
optical certifications of the product placed on the market.
 The assembly lines must take into account the safety distance between workers,
with the permanence at all times of the protections adequate.

Ergonomics at work before COVID:

Get a good night's rest
Sleeping eight hours a day favors recovery in an optimal way, but also influences the
appearance of injuries and to strengthen the immune system, so that the employee
will be less likely to get sick.

4
Dress comfortably
It is necessary to wear loose clothing that does not constrict and allows to be
comfortable in order to prevent bad posture. It is vitally important to wear
comfortable shoes, to reduce the risk of possible rheumatic injuries derived from
excessive stress on the tendons of the legs.
