Subject: Additional Information/ Explanation regarding my previous student visa rejection

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I would like to provide the following additional information in support of my application

for a student visa.

I, Justin Mathew, applied for student visa for Jan 2020 intake for Applied Energy
Management from Conestoga College. Unfortunately my visa application got rejected
stating that -:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in
subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

So I would like to clarify briefly about my purpose of visit.

My purpose of visit to Canada is genuinely for studies. I chose to study Applied Energy
Management in Conestoga College since the course incorporates renewable sector with
conventional sources. Since energy sector is evolving, up-to-date education is a must to
achieve success. There are not such courses in my country which incorporates both
conventional and renewable energy techniques. Moreover teaching methods in Canada give
strong emphasize on practical knowledge which is essential for learning techniques in
energy management. Besides, I would be surrounded with students from across the globe
enhancing my communications skills as well as inter-personal skills which are very
important in this highly globalized world. After the completion of the course like all other
international students, I would like to take advantage of the post study work permit to
explore best opportunities and to get the international exposure available in Canada. This
will further enhance my expertise in my career. Having a Canadian experience is of high
demand across the world. Beyond everything our Indian industry adores international
experience and exposure. This will amplify my chances in pursuing a career in energy
Industry back in my home country. India, a rapidly developing nation, is committed to
increase the share of renewable energy in the energy sector. Governments and companies
in India are increasingly investing in renewable energy such as electric vehicles, off shore
wind fields, roof top solar projects and gas sector. Thus, scope of employment
opportunities in India in the energy sector is wide. The Applied energy management course
is one of its kinds that it drastically improves my employment potential in India. I would
like to come back to India with enhanced knowledge and acquired degree to utilize
numerous opportunities with multinational companies of India. My parents have invested a
lot in my studies and have high expectations from me which I need to fulfill by coming back
to them and shouldering their responsibilities. India is the 6th largest consumer of energy
in the world. Energy is, in fact, the most vital resource for the development of the nation.
The government is also targeting towards supplying power to each and every individual. To
meet this demand, there is a need to devise appropriate strategies in order to manage,
sustain and generate power efficiently. Furthermore, effective utilization of energy is also
an indispensable part of every organization. The companies thus seek for experts who are
skilled to devise tactics for effectual management of energy. Hence this program Applied
Energy management to learn such skills and grab good positions in the energy sector. In
the present scenario, effective energy consumption is the need for every organization. They
seek for energy managers who then work with environment and production managers. The
global energy crisis has also augmented the demand for skilled manpower. Furthermore,
the government of the country also aims at expanding its energy sector which means a
huge demand for energy management professionals. The course makes me eligible for the
industry. I can employ the acquired knowledge in preserving the environment, for
sustainable development, and for managing the energy. The successful completion of the
course, I can take up positions such as Energy Auditor, Technical Consultant, Energy
Manager, Energy Analyst, Oil and Gas Analyst, Project coordinator, and much more.

So I kindly request you to reconsider my visa application in the light of the above
mentioned reasons and grant me the permission to pursue for Applied Energy
Management in Conestoga College.

Thanking you.

Yours faithfully,

Justin Mathew
