Moo Moo Francis Tanamor is a foster fail. Originally, a neighbor was set to adopt him. That,
however, fell through. Eventually, Moo Moo integrated into his foster family. Now, he is a
permanent member of the Tanamor clan. His story is this: A coyote murdered Moo Moo’s entire
family – mother and siblings. He was the only survivor. Although he managed to escape, and
found solace in the comfort of his new family, something happened to Moo Moo, something
vicious… One theory is that the coyote was not only his family’s killer, but also his… father! A
second theory is that he’s just a fucking weird cat. Now, Moo Moo terrorizes his foster parents
with random kills, bringing them into the house like trophies. So, why won’t they get rid of him?
Good question. Some may suspect that the Tanamors are suckers for punishment. Whatever the
case, at least close the damn door. Moo Moo the Serial Killer Cat is a real life tale of desire,
consumption, and murder. * All proceeds benefit the very shelter the Tanamors adopted Moo
Moo from. ** Each book comes paw-tographed by Moo Moo. *** This book contains some adult
language.

Jason Tanamor (born April 25, 1975) is a Filipino-American author, writer, and entertainment
interviewer. He also works as a contracting officer at Bonneville Power Administration, within
the United States Department of Energy.[1] He is a former contract specialist for the United States
Department of Defense.[2] His novels range in genre, from dark in nature to satirical and from
young adult to children's.
His two novels, Anonymous and Drama Dolls, have received critical acclaim from major
publications such as Publishers Weekly – who called him a "promising writer with lots of
potential" and compared him to Chuck Palahniuk and Charles Bukowski[3] – and Audio Book
Reviewer.[4]
Tanamor's newest effort, a YA titled Love, Dance & Egg Rolls is set in Portland during the Trump
Administration and follows high school sophomore, Jamie, whose sole purpose in life is to
become the next Tinikling master. (Tinikling is the national dance of the Philippines.) [5]
His novel, a NA urban fantasy about Filipino folklore (aswang) called Vampires of Portlandia,
touches upon his love for campy horror stories. "It’s not really a fascination but I do love the
genre, but mixed with dark humor or comedy, which includes the shows 'Supernatural' and
'Grimm', and the movies 'The Lost Boys' and 'Beetlejuice'. And with the ages of the main
characters (they’re in their young twenties) in Vampires of Portlandia, there is a little bit of a
'Twilight' feel as well. The new novel is a mashup of these shows and movies." [6]
He and his books have been featured in many publications such as Library Journal, Publishers
Weekly, Yahoo!, Esquire (Philippines),[7] CNN Philippines,[8] Daily Inquirer (Philippines), and Daily
Tribune (Philippines). Tanamor also is ranked in the Favorite Filipino and Filipino-American
Author poll at Ranker.[9]

Tanamor is from the Quad-Cities (Iowa/Illinois) and is the middle child of three boys of Filipino
parents. Asked how he ended up in Illinois, he quipped that his parents ran out of gas. A few
more dollars and he could have been from St. Louis. In regard to the diverse nature of his books,
he didn't want to be known for being one-dimensional. The world doesn't need another John
Grisham novel – they're all about law.[10]
By day, he works at Bonneville Power Administration in Portland, Oregon. His former
agency, Army Contracting Command at Rock Island Arsenal[11] in Rock Island, IL, was the focal
point of the 2016 movie War Dogs. His former team, Field Support Directorate, won the
2016 Secretary of the Army Excellence in Contracting Award for Contingency Contracting.
[12]
Tanamor also is a graduate of the Defense Civilian Emerging Leader Program (DCELP).
In his free time, he has contributed to numerous publications including Yahoo!, Cinema Blend,
[13]
and Celebrity Cafe. Tanamor is the founder of the entertainment website, Zoiks! Online, and
his work has also appeared on Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Among those he's interviewed are musical heavyweights Billy Corgan from Smashing
Pumpkins, Guns N' Roses, Heart, Lisa Loeb, and Red Hot Chili Peppers; best-selling
author Chuck Palahniuk; adult film star Jesse Jane; and comedy superstars Gabriel
Iglesias, Margaret Cho, Dane Cook, and Demetri Martin.
Tanamor also has covered President Obama when he spoke at Alcoa Davenport Works as a part
of the White House Press Pool.
Staying on the political front, Tanamor, whose wife is part-Belgian, also met with the Ambassador
of Belgium to the United States, Dirk Wouters, to speak about local policies and the Belgian
migration to his hometown, the Quad-Cities.[14] He had remained active in progressing the agenda
for Belgians, prior to relocating to the Pacific Northwest.
Prior to working for the United States Department of Defense, Tanamor grew up doing stand-up
comedy idolizing Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno. He then transitioned into writing. Since then, he's
been juggling full-time employment with writing novels. [15] Tanamor does this by maintaining a
strict routine. "Once I start writing, I make time in the morning, usually around 3:30–5:00 am.
Sometimes throughout the day on weekends, but generally I feel motivated early. I have a certain
spot on the couch where I sit with my laptop, one of my cats, and coffee." [16]
Tanamor was married in 2006.[17]
He currently lives and works in the Portland, Oregon area, but still keeps a house in Illinois,
[18]
which was built for John Shields by Rock Island famed architect, George Stauduhar of
the Stauduhar House, and was formerly owned by New York Giants football player, George
Franck.
The house is located in the Highland Park Historic District [19] in Rock Island, Illinois, where
legendary Rock Island gangster, John Patrick Looney, resided. The Looney House was also built
by Stauduhar. Looney's life was fictionalized in the novel, "Road to Perdition," written by
author Max Allan Collins, and was turned into a movie starring Tom Hanks, Jude Law, Daniel
Craig, and Paul Newman, and was directed by Sam Mendes, and produced by Steven Spielberg.
