    Good Morning World – A new host

    Jay: Hello! My name is Jay Jones. (pause) Hi! I’m Jay. It’s nice to meet you. What’s your name?
    (pause) Hello, my name is Jones. Jay… Jones. My nickname is “Handsome Jay.” No, too
    much… But still true! (Rashid appears and points to clock that says it is almost 7:00.)
    Jay: Well, good morning everybody, and Good Morning World! Welcome to the show. I’m your
    host, Jay Jones. Today, our audience helps us choose a new co-host for our show. Let’s meet
    the candidates.
    Contestant 1: Hi, my name is Sandra Smith. Um, I am a teacher. I like my friends and my
    family.
    Contestant 2: Hello! I am Debbie Díaz. Nice to meet you! I looove your TV show! Jay, you are
    my favorite person in the world! I LOVE YOU JAY!
    Contestant 3: Hi, My name is Kim Kimal. How is everybody today? I am a journalist and an
    actress. I like music and sports. I am from… (cheering)
    Jay: Thank you everybody! Now, it’s time to choose our co-host: Are you ready? (pause) Ms.
    Sandra Smith! (little applause) Miss Kim Kimal! (loud applause and cheering) And Miss Debbie
    Díaz! (little applause; Jay starts clapping) Debbie! Again, Miss Debbie Diaz! (Jay claps; Rashid
    enters) OK, we have the results. Our new co-host is… (opens envelope) First name: Kim, Last
    name, Kimal, that’s K-I-M-A-L. Congratulations.
