In this UPCYCLE project I am going to show you how to make bookmarks
with reusable materials. I chose this project because I am constantly
reading books and always forget where I left off. But before I show you, it
is important that you know what UPCYCLE means.

UPCYCLE- the reuse of discarded materials or objects to create another


useful product and give it a new function.

INSTRUCTIONS
Here are the steps to make a bookmark:

Cut the
cardboard into a
1 Materials:
Cardboard
Ribbons or yarns
rectangle or any Glue
shape that you Scrapbook paper
prefer Decorations
Scissors
Marker

2 Cover the whole


bookmark with glue
and place it on
scrapbook paper.

Trace around the


scrapbook paper
and cut out the

shape on the
paper.

4 Once it's dry, you


can start
decorating your
bookmark with
anything you want.

(Optional) Punch a
hole in the top of the
bookmark and tie
some ribbon or yarn
through it.

REMINDER: The main purpose is to reduce waste, so try
to use materials that you already have at home.
