Part 4
1. What would you consider this student’s primary strength or contribution?
Emma's wealth of knowledge with the subject area and drive to succeed served her well in this position. She was always willing
to jump in and help and take on challenges, and that was necessary for all of us this time around.

2. Was this student academically prepared to work with the clients of your agency? If yes, briefly explain. If
not, what area needed improvement?
Absolutely. She successfully completed HDF 413 when she took it last fall and then built upon and synthesized knowledge from
other classes to really bring it!

3. In your opinion, how well was this placement suited to the student’s abilities and interests?
Perfect for her abilities and current interests and I think plenty of transferable skills for her future goals.

4. Did the intern fulfill his/her time and task commitment? Approximately how many days did they not report
to work? Please list date(s). If absences have been made up please explain.
Yes. She never missed a day, in fact we had to work in time away to be sure to find balance with other responsibilities.

5. Is there anything about your role as an intern supervisor that you would like to discuss? Was this a
satisfactory experience for you?
Definitely satisfactory.

6. What qualities of leadership did the student exhibit?

Many. Emma refined skills in dealing with difficult people, knowing when to engage and when it would not change the
situation, and really began defining her personal style of leadership beyond just working from her strengths and values.

7. Please indicate the quality of the student’s performance:

Please justify your choice:

If anyone has earned an A, this one has!
