The Grown-up research proposal

After thinking about it and going through the peer review process, I have chosen my

research question to be How does Twitter change the personality of our young adults (13-20)

mostly especially noted with the Black rights movements that can be seen in it that turned for the

worst and made them overall negative toward everything. Within the broad field of writing

studies, I have chosen to investigate the psychological change in the people now a days from

there personality to their language. Because I want to find out how does the sudden change of

having the internet and the contact with the negative condonation of Twitter. Change us all as we

protest and exchange information since it is actually a really new thing. So that the people, that

frequent Twitter, know that and better understand what they are using and how it is affecting just

every aspect in their life; good and bad.

I want to do this topic because it just fascinates me that this is an actual topic not many

thinks about. I’m someone that overthinks things a lot especially the small stuff like this. Since

the internet is such a big place it just exaggerates it really. Which, most likely, changed how I act

personally since I grew up with that. Making me overthink more often leading me down some

rabbit hole in particular. I also like to just sit there to observe sometimes just to see the world

move, and I’ve seen people really change and just stop speaking like they used to. Especially for

people around my age and the teenagers really, me being 19, and being in the environment of
being the first with internet really. So, I really did see the changes especially from high school

not many people use the same terminology for things now to then really, and how they, and me,

acted towards everything just changed really especially with something that spreads far like

Twitter.

This research is important to understand how the Twitter really just affects us protests

like the black rights movement. From the way they are, to the way they speak, and how our

physiology is. It would benefit us all to really know and have a comprehensive paper with all of

this down somewhere, really. Since it’s such an important part of our life now. Especially with

CO-VID keeping us in with only the internet to entertain us. It would be important to know the

significance about it now more than ever really.

The main point of this source is the evolution of the internet and how it was integrated into

society and its generation’s.

This source is reliable because the author is a professor and does have his resources down on the

article.

It will help me better connect the technology and the internet change, changing us all really.

It would help me draw a timeline along the internet, and technology with the changes for all of it.

The main point of this article is to explain the history of the internet and everything around it.

It should be reliable it is from Britannica and it is known to be reliable by many.

It would help me draw a timeline along the internet, and technology with the changes for all of it.

This source’s main point is to actually see the change in the mind with the use of the internet.

It’s reliable because it’s a .gov website and the research done on the website in the whole seems

legitimate.

The research is kind of a part of my main question of what I wanted to find in general.

To find out the answer to my question, I plan to collect the following types of data by

probably doing a poll at school or asking around different pools of the internet itself to see how

people have changed and if they have noticed it. Be it their speech personality in any way really

for it. Maybe look for more research done about it out there for the future.

I do have some questions for my professor,

 Is my question to broad and should I just reduce it to the generations really raised side by

side with internet? As the internet changes they change as well; well, the most.

 Do I need to explain more on me personality wise? I don’t feel like I injected myself into

it much really.
 I don’t know if I perfectly explained what I’m going in this how I’m trying to talk about

how people’s personality and language change according to the internet, and I just need

to know if I’m getting that across really.
