Describe the experimental setup, including:

List any and all referenced documents used in your report i.e.: ASTM standards designation number
and title

3. Results

Include tabulation of the experiment results. Tables should be properly labeled and include a title.

Include graphs of the test results where appropriate. Graph should be properly labeled and include a
title and figure number.

4. Conclusions

When appropriate, compare the results with theoretical or known values and include a short
discussion of your results

Also discuss any discrepancies encountered during the lab that may have distorted the outcome.
Discuss any possible equipment limitations or sources of error.

5. Appendix

Include any photos taken during the experiment. Photos should be properly labeled and include a title
and figure number.

Lab reports are to be typed, in a precise and orderly way, with all pages numbered at the bottom. Be
brief and concise.
Do not use the first person (I, me, we, our….) in writing lab reports.
