Information Tech. Park, Bangalore

Introduction:-

Bangalore is called the ‘Silicon Valley of India’ due to the large number of information technology companies
located here. Many multinational corporations, especially computer hardware and software giants, have
operations in Bangalore. Bangalore’s IT industry is divided into two main “clusters” — Electronic City and
Whitefield. New clusters in Bellandur, Hebbal and Challaghatta have emerged in the last few years along the Outer
and Inner Ring Roads and in C V Raman Nagar near Old Madras Road. The City is home to more than 900 IT firms.

IT firms in Bangalore employ about 35% of India’s pool of 2.5 million IT professionals and account for the highest
IT-related exports in the country. In such a case, these Tech parks, which are home to most of the Bangalore offices
of IT giants, play a major role in housing the employees

Intended Outcome:-

The Information Park must enable

Motivation:-
The idea to design an IT Tech. park came up with the image of the city and also how the city serves and caters most
of the IT giants in the industry. This research led to the decision of keeping this as the thesis project. There are end
number of people working in IT companies which comprises of a lot of floating as well as permanent population of
the city. There are already quite a lot of technological parks that are existing in Bangalore but the idea to design it
was to create something fluidic and interesting rather than it being a monotonous scraped buildings.

Basically, this entire IT field has not only become the economic and financial part of the city but or the work culture
of a mega city but also it is somehow describing the vivid culture of the city as well, as people in the city welcomes
the population migrating to work here and somehow makes this whole thing parallel and this is already in the
process of becoming a very important part of the people who are directly or indirectly getting affected by this work
culture. This whole idea of the people coming here and the problem pertaining because of these are also not less.
The stress, travel, traffic, monotony etc. drives people to hate what they are doing sometimes.

To make a space for the people coming to their offices should not only describe the work that they do but also
relief the whole stream of work into something which would not drive them to come to that space.

Description:-3
Keeping in mind the limitations and the difficulties of the major design challenges would likely to be discovering
and collecting information about the different types of related projects and the problems pertaining to those
spaces which would more likely conclude the design challenge as well as the problems that really needs at most
attention.
