to the works of Filipino Artists in Literature for “Natatanging Alagad ng Sining sa Pagsulat” Our

[CHARACTERS]
Now, let us proceed with the analysis of the story, All over the world. The title All Over the
World tells about the WWII. Where many people lost and separated with their love one’s or
relatives.

The main characters in this story are Felix, Maria, and Uncle Lucio.
Felix is the protagonist in this story and he is also the one talking and narrating everything in
the short story. He is 21 years old, and a friendly person. He is a boy who had a job for the first
time. He's a one-dimensional figure. Because his personality did not alter from the beginning to
the finish of the narrative. He's still the man who enjoys a peaceful and lovely evening strolling
along the streets lined with buildings and walls. And he still cares about Maria from the
beginning of the narrative to the finish, when the war separates them.
Next is Maria. 11 years old and a very shy person. She is a young girl who loves to read books.
She is a complicated character. She didn't smile at Felix at first since she was shy. However, as
the tale progresses, Felix discovers that she enjoys exploring the city. She became acquainted
with Felix and began talking to him about her life and family; she became at ease with him and
smiled at him.
Lastly, Uncle Lucio, He is Maria’s uncle. A janitor and also a volunteer. He is a one-dimensional
figure. From the beginning to the finish of the narrative, he has the same personality. He assists
and cares for Maria in her search for a house.

No person is antagonist in this story, only the war can be considered as the antagonist

[The Plot]
So it was a story about World War 2. In the narrative, a man called Felix went to a movie
theater and returned home alone, savoring the peaceful and lovely evening, as well as the calm
streets and buildings. He is 21 years old and is starting his first job in Manila. When he returned
home, he spotted a lovely little 11-year-old girl named Maria. He noticed Maria reading a book
on Greek Myth. Felix attempted to converse with Maria, but she is too bashful to react. He
lends the book to Maria for a time, till she finishes it. Maria lives with her janitor Uncle Lucio.
Maria's parents are both deceased, and her sister has already established a new family. Maria
enjoys going on walks and seeing the city. Maria completed and returned the book she took
from Felix. Felix and Maria get close. But then came the war. It's WWII, therefore they should
stay in their houses and evacuate to a safe location if they want to survive. So Felix went to
Maria's house one day, but it was too late. They were separated by the war and never saw one
other again.

The presentation was clean, I think its very cool that they used the concept of neftlix to present
their analysis. and in fonts, I think they chose a good font too, simple. In presentation, they did
a good job presenting naman po and the analysis was very detailed and full of information
