a. Give a reflection about Aquinas Natural Law.

- In my own opinion, if we rationally reflect then we arrive at the right path or way. If
this is in line with the natural law the it is morally acceptable and if it is out of the
line, then it is not morally acceptable. My point is that the more we think, the more
rational we become. We also start to have similar views on what is right and wrong.
This sense guides people, culture and even whole countries to act in certain ways.
Knowing the difference between right and wrong, you’ll have the idea to know when
something you are doing is wrong.

b. Which do you think is the most powerful law among the types of law according to St.
Aquinas? Why?
- Eternal law, because it talks and it is about God’s rational purpose and plans for all
things. Honestly speaking I am a person who believes in God so that is why I consider
Eternal Law is the most powerful. As a person I really wants to know my purpose in
life but only God knows what it is. Eternal Law is a certain concept only existing in
God’s mind, therefore it is not known to anyone except God alone. And because the
Eternal Law is part of God’s mind then it has always and will always be powerful.

c. Is natural law changeable? Why or Why not?

- It is changeable, because natural law can be changed by way of adding oy by taking
something away. The change can happen in the secondary percepts but not in the
primary concepts. The content of natural law is wholly changeable and changing,
dependent upon the social ideal and conditions of a particular time and place.
Natural Law is changeable by way of addition, since many things for the benefit of
human life have been added over and above the natural law. A change in the natural
law may be understood by way of subtraction, so that what previously was according
to the natural law, ceases to be so.
