NARRATIVE REPORT ON THE OBSERVANCE OF

EARTH HOUR

Earth Hour Day 2021 is being observed on March 27 this year. Every
year, Earth Hour brings together individuals, communities, and businesses to help
restore our Earth. It highlights the environmental issues our Earth is facing and gives
us motivation to find solutions. The movement helps in saving huge power
consumption all over the world and to inculcate awareness about the importance of
the reduction of Carbon Footprints at home. One of the benefits of Earth hour is to
give opportunity for millions of people all around the world to take part and show their
support for climate change.
The aim of the day is to throw some light on nature, climate change
and sustainable development all over the world. With evidence pointing towards a
close link between nature's destruction and rising incidences of infectious disease
outbreaks like COVID-19, Earth Hour 2021 will unite people online to speak up for
nature. With this, the Langtad Elem. School learners participates actively by
switching off their lights at home for one hour. The learners also believe that they
can make a substantial difference in energy consumption and can help reduce the
effect of global warming on this planet. They want to extend help to our mother Earth
even in little ways.
