excretory, and nervous system.

Learning Competency: Explain how the organs of each organ system work together (S6LT-IIa-b-1)

Objectives: 1. Identify the organs that work together to form the Digestive
System
2. Explain how the parts of the Digestive System work together.

Topic: A. Describe the structure and function of the parts of the Digestive
System

B. Reference: CG p. 95-100
C. Resource Materials: Science Links pp. 130-140
Procedure:
1. Engage:
1. Review:
What are the organs of the Intergumentary System
How does it work?

2. Why do we eat food?

If you are hungry, how do you feel?
Have you ever wondered what happened to the food you have just

3. Explain: :
What are the parts of the Digestive System?
What are the function of the Digestive System?
How does the parts of the Digestive System work together?

Parts/Ogans of the Digestive System

Activity # 1.

3. What is the importance of the proper care of the organs of
Digestive System?

5. Evaluation:
Arrange the following statements according to the process of digestion
and absorption in the body. Number each of the steps according to the sequence it
occurs.
____ Water is absorbed.
____ Food is broken into small pieces.
____ Nutrients pass through the blood stream.
