The electric circuit shown in Doc.1contains:

 Generator G delivering a constant voltage U = 12 V
 a lamp (L) receiving a voltage of 5 V.
 a motor M
 Ammeter (A) displaying - 1.5A.

b) 12V b) -12V c) 0V

Exercise 2: (5pts) Grouping of lamps

The following circuit contains:

A P N
 A DC battery giving a constant voltage UPN. A
 Four lamps (L1,L2,L3 and L4)
L1 L2 L4
A. The circuit is arranged as shown:
E
 Lamps L2 and L4 are identical
B C D
 The potential differences UAB=4V, and UCD=5V
 The Ammeter A displaying -300mA L3
 The current in lamp L2 is 200mA.

1. Indicate, after copying the above circuit, the com terminal of the ammeter A.
2. Calculate the current passing in Lamps L3 and L4.
3. Determine the voltage across lamp L3 and across lamp L4.
4. Calculate the voltage UPN.

Exercise 3 (7 points) Electric Circuit
Document 4 represents an electric circuit that consists
of a generator G (12V), and electric motor M, a switch
K and two identical lamps L1 and L2.

First case: K is opened

1. What is the voltage UPA across the opened switch?
2. Determine the voltage across the motor and across
each one of the two lamps.
3. Indicate the value of the current in the circuit.

Second case: K is closed; the generator sends a current 800 mA and the
voltage across the motor UM = 8V.
4. Determine UPA.
5. Indicate the value of the voltage UBC.
6. Determine UDE, and then deduce the voltage across each one of the two lamps.
7. Determine, in SI units, the currents IM in the motor, I1 and I2 in L1 and L2.
8. 8.1 Redraw the given diagram and show the connections of an ammeter that measures
the current in L1 with positive reading and a voltmeter that measures (UDC).
8.2 What would the voltmeter indicate? Why?
