PROPHET MOHAMMAD (PBUH) – THE BEST TEACHER
Teaching is one of the most respectful and valuable professions in the world. In religion Islam,
this profession has more importance as our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) introduced
himself as a teacher.

The person who teaches is a teacher, a man of obedience and respect. Teachers are some of the
most influential people in society and have great importance in modern society. Teachers bear
the responsibility of molding students’ personalities and educating them. Teachers are considered
the most honored person in every religion. Due to the important role of teachers, Islam has
granted high status and rights to teachers. Islam has paid great attention to teachers for their
being the first brick in the structure of social development and perfection and the cause of
guiding and developing behaviors and mentalities of individuals and communities.

We can understand the highest rank of teachers from the Quote of Hazrat Ali (RA) in which He
(RA) stated that: “If a person teaches me one single word, he has made me his servant for a
lifetime. “

However, to be an influential teacher one must himself gain knowledge. But what actually
knowledge is?

ILM – KNOWLEDGE

‘Ilm (Arabic: ‫ )علم‬translates into knowledge.

Meaning of Knowledge

 Linguistic

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the word knowledge refers to “Facts, information,
and skills acquired through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of
a subject.” & ‘Knowledge is the process of knowing, and identical with the knower and the
known.’

 Islamic Meaning
In Islamic point of view ‘ilm is an all-embracing term covering theory, action and education. It
is not confined to the acquisition of knowledge only, but also embraces socio-political and moral
aspects. It requires insight, commitment to the goals of Islam and for the believers to act upon
their belief. Also it is reported in one hadith that:

“Knowledge is not extensive learning. Rather, it is a light

that Allah casts in the heart of whomever He wills.”

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) also said: “The

seeking of knowledge is obligatory for every Muslim.” (Al-
Tirmidhi)

In the Islamic theory of knowledge has a much wider

connotation than its synonyms in English and other Western languages. The importance of this
term in Muslim civilization and Islam, says that it gives them a distinctive shape.

There is no aspect of Islamic intellectual, religious and political life, and of the daily life of an
average Muslim, that is neglected by the attitude always turned towards knowledge seen as a
supreme value for the Muslim. Ilm is Islam.

Why Is Seeking knowledge Important for a Muslim?

Allah created man to worship him, and chose Islam as his religion, and “islam”
means submittimng our wills to the Will of Allah. But how can one worship him is
he does not know how to worship? and how can one devote his will to Allah’s Will
when he is unfilliliar with it?
5 Reasons To Gain Knowlegde:

1. It Is Our Obligation:

Seeking knowledge is our ‘farz’ as Holy Prophet pbuh said:

‘seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim”

Therefor one must gain at least enough knowledge that is enough

compulsory for the understanding of our religion to practice it
properly as Allah has ordered. One must have one continuous
source of knowledge in his life. As Allah’s Messenger (Sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

“A believer is never satiated with gainful knowledge; he goes acquiring it till his death and
entry into Paradise.” (Tirmidhi)

2. To Fulfil The Purpose Of Our Life.

The purpose of our life is to worship Allah and follow the teachings of Quran and Sunnah, which
can only be truly fulfilled by knowledge. The more one know about Islam, the easier it becomes
to fulfill the purpose of life. Worship Allah does not mean praying all the time, but it is the
obedience to Allah, everything that we do is for the pleasure of Allah and a person cannot do this
if he does not know how to do it, and the only way to know ‘how’, is to seek knowledge.

“And when ye are told to rise up, rise up. Allah will raise up, to (suitable) ranks (and
degrees), those of you who believe and who have been granted (mystic) Knowledge. And
Allah is well-acquainted with all ye do” [Quran, 58:11]

3. Increase Our Imaan

Holy Prophet pbuh said:

“If Allah wants to do good to a person, he makes him comprehend the religion and of course
knowledge is attained by learning.” (Saheeh Bukhari)

The basic rule of Islam is strong belief on the Oneness of Allah, His Last Prophet pbuh and the
prophets before him, belief in Akhirah, angels, hell and heven and in the books of Allah. Any
doubt in these principles can weaken one’s imaan so to strengthen our imaan we must seek deep
and deeper knowledge about Islam.
4. To Clarify Doubts

In today’s life everyday young generation is exposed to fake information about islam through
media, Islamophobes, atheists and non-believers, which shakes their imaan and put them in
doubts as they are not equipped to answer them. Thus, authentic knowledge is extremely
important for answering others and to secure our imaan, as Allah has chosen islam for us that
answers all the questions and is no doubt in it.

‘We have sent down on you the Book explaining all the things.’ (Al-Nahl verse 89)

Also: And these similitude We coin for mankind, but none will grasp their meaning except
those of knowledge. [29.43]

5. To Invite People to the Way of Allah.

Allah has orderd Muslims to call others to Islam with ‘clear knowledge’ ; ‘Al’al Bathira’. Thus
to invite others to islam, clear knowledge about it is extremely important.

Qur’an states, “Let there be a group among you who call others to good, and enjoin what is
right, and forbid what is wrong: those who do this shall be successful.” (Soorat Aal
‛Imraan,3:104)

Our Duty As a Teacher:

Islam is a religion that emphasizes on ‘haqooq ul ibaad’. For a Muslim it is made compulsion to
benefit is brothers for the sake of Allah in every possible way. Moreover, in Quran Allah has
kept special reward and status of people who work for Hiss creation.

Duty Of Teaching – In the light of Quran and Hadith

The first revelation sent down to the Holy prophet did not
mentioned any other obligation, nor Prayer, neither Fasting but
only “Read”. The Quran uses repetition to embed certain key
concepts in the consciousness of its listeners. Allah and Rab (the
Sustainer) are repeated 2,800 and 950 times, respectively, in the
sacred text; Ilm (knowledge) comes third with 750 mentions. In
the Quran the word “Alim” (a scholar or wise male or female) occurs 140 times, while the term
“Ilm” only 27.

Thus, our first obligation is to seek Knowledge and then it is explained by holy Prophet pbuh:

‘Seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim” and the he also adds “The best
among you is the one who learn the Quran and teach it”

Qur’an states, “Let there be a group among you who call others to good, and enjoin what is
right, and forbid what is wrong: those who do this shall be successful.” (Soorat Aal
‛Imraan,3:104)

Knowledge is a blessing that never reduce, but only increase by sharing. Holy Prophet PBUH
Said:

‘Knowledge from which no benefit is derived is like a treasure from which nothing is spent in
the Way of Allah.’ (Mishkat-ul-Masabih)

“A servant of GOD will remain standing on the Day of Judgment until he is questioned about
his (time on earth) and how he used it; about his knowledge and how he utilized it; about his
wealth and from where he acquired it and in what (activities) he spent it; and about his body
and how he used it.” (Al-Tirmidhi)

Thus, we can understand that knowledge is Allah’s Blessing on us and immanah of others that
we have to pass to them. It is not essential to know the entire religion to call people to Islam: But
the one who takes on the mission of calling people to Islam has to have knowledge and insight
into what he is calling them to.

Convey from me, even if it is a verse. Saheeh al-Bukhaari (3461

Reward of Teaching –In The Light Of Quran And Sunnah:

1. Da‛wah is the means to success in this life and in the hereafter,

As the Qur’an states, “Let there be a group among you who call others to good, and enjoin
what is right, and forbid what is wrong: those who do this shall be successful.” (Soorat Aal
‛Imraan,3:104)

2. No one has a better speech than that of those who engage in da‛wah activities.
Commending such people, the Qur’an says, “Who speaks better than one who calls to Allah,
does good works and says, ‘I am surely one of the Muslims.’?” (Soorat Fussilat, 41:33) It is
clear, therefore, that there is no one whose speech is better than that of a person who calls people
to the truth, for he is their guide to their Creator and Lord and the one who takes them out of the
darkness of misguidance into the light of faith.

3. Engaging in da‛wah work testifies to one’s compliance with Allah’s command : “Call to the
way of your Lord with wisdom and fair admonition, and argue with them in the best
manner possible.” (Soorat An-Nahl, 16:125) A person who dedicates himself to such a
noble task must invite others to Islam with wisdom, making sure that he knows the
personality of the people he wants to call to Islam so as to choose the best possible method to
carry out the task, all the while arguing with them in the kindest, most gracious manner
which appeals to them.

4. Reward of following sunnah.

Engaging in da‛wah work was the very task carried out by all of Allah’s messengers without
exception, foremost of whom was Prophet Muhammad pbuh, whom Allah sent to all mankind as
a witness over people, giving news to the believers of immense reward in the hereafter, warning
the unbelievers against severe punishment and spreading his light to all mankind. The Qur’an
says, “Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, as a bearer of good news and a warner, and
a caller to Allah by His permission and a light-giving lamp. Convey to the believers the
good news that they will receive immense favour from Allah.” (Soorat Al-Ahzaab,33:45-47)

5. Source of unlimited goodness.

For each person you invite to Islam, you will get the same rewards for his prayer, worship and
teaching others. What a great blessing Allah bestows on those who engage in spreading
knowledge. The Prophet pbuh said, “Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to
that of those who follow it, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all.” (Saheeh
Muslim: 2674)

6. The reward better than all the enjoyments of the present world,
Allah Himself, the Most Generous, who will recompense them abundantly for such a noble
endeavour: “If you turn away from me, remember I ask no reward from you. Only Allah
will reward me, and I have been commanded to submit completely to Him.” (Soorat
Yoonus, 10:72)
The Prophet pbuh also said in this respect, “If Allah guides one man through you, this will be
better for you than possessing red camels.” (Saheeh Al-Bukhaaree: 2847; Saheeh
Muslim: 2406) Camels were considered the most valuable property in ancient Arabia and the red
variety was the most prized of all.

7. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:

“If anyone travels on a road in search of knowledge, God will cause him to travel on one of
the roads of Paradise. The angels will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one who
seeks knowledge. The inhabitants of the heavens and the Earth and (even) the fish in the deep
waters will ask forgiveness for the learned man. The superiority of the learned over the devout
is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned are
the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave (no monetary inheritance), they leave only
knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion.” Sunan of Abu-Dawood

Thus our duty is to, read Quran, understand it, implement it teachings in our lives and then call
others to His message using our knowledge. Alhamdulillah, Islam is a religion from which
nothing has been omitted, Allad did not only order us about this, He sent down The Messenger
pbuh, who is our Best Guide, Our Teacher, and Explanator of Quran. We can easily fulfill
our mission by following the food steps of Holy Prophet pbuh.

PROPHET PBUH AS A TEACHER:

The Prophet pbuh has called himself ‘Muallim’. The Arabic term ‘Muallim’ means ‘teacher’.
Hazrat Abdullah Bin Amr (RA) narrated that the Prophet said:

‫ ۔ﺎﻣﻠﻌﻣ تﺛﻌﺑ ﺎﻣﻧإ‬- Verily I have been sent as a teacher.’ (Sunan Ibn Majah)

The Prophet’s admirable character is evident in the Quran. As a clear exemplar, this can be seen
in all aspects of the Prophet’s life from his sayings, actions and conditions. His elegance is a true
form of beauty and truth that captured the hearts of many. The companions’ love for the Prophet
pbuh developed into a strong sense of conviction to the principles of the religion. His impart of
Divine knowledge to his companions embodied the universal mercy that is witnessed in the
Quran.

‘Like (a favor which you have already received) in that We have sent among you a
Messenger of your own, rehearsing to you Our verses, and purifying you, and instructing
you in scripture and wisdom, and in new knowledge” Quran, 2: 151

The prophet Mohammad P.B.U.H starts new religion spreading by calling people to Islam and be
ready to change their life to the better, his style was based on individual differences and
consisted with their situations, natures, habits and mentalities. The prophet fully succeed in his
task bringing the new nation of Islam to the world as Allah wants it to be by introducing the new
religion rituals, aspects and concepts to the humanity by well-formed ways which are able to
implement fruitfully which are able to implement fruitfully across the time.

Holy Prophet pbuh As Teacher In the Light of Quran:

Ouran is the message of Allah and Holy Prophet pbuh is the explanation and a model of all those
teachings. He thought as a complete way of life from methods of worshipping Allah to methods
of Ghusal.

According to the Quran, the Prophet (PBUH) is responsible for tabligh (delivering the message):
“O Messenger, proclaim the (message) which hath been sent to thee from thy Lord. If thou
didst not, thou wouldst not have fulfilled and proclaimed His mission. And Allah will
defend thee from men (who mean mischief). For Allah guided not those who reject Faith.”
(Al-Maida 5/67).

“The Messenger’s duty is but to proclaim (the message). But Allah knoweth all that ye
reveal and ye conceal” (Al-Maida 5/99).

The lexicographical meaning of “tabligh” is to deliver, inform, and spread. As a term, it points
to the Prophet’s delivering the message to humans exactly as he received it from Allah. This is
one of the inalienable qualities of prophets. These verses all prove that the Prophet was a teacher
assigned the duty of delivering the message of God. Indeed, the Prophet himself emphasized that
his primary duty as a Prophet was to teach by saying, “I have been sent only as a teacher to
you.” To explain his duty he also said, “I have been sent only to complete moral virtues.”

In Quran, Allah also warns the Prophet not to exceed the boundaries of his duty: “We have not
sent thee as a guard over them. Thy duty is but to convey (the Message)” (Al-Shura 42/48).

Holy Prophet pbuh As Teacher In the Light of Hadith:

Holy prophet is sent down as a teacher for mankind. Who not only verply explained the
teachings of Quran but also acted upon them and set the best example of a Teacher.

For example, Allah ordered us:

2:110 “And establish prayer”

And the Holy Prophet pbuh said:

“Pray as you see me offering my prayer”

The Prophet pbuh has called himself ‘Muallim’. The Arabic term
‘Muallim’ means ‘teacher’. Hazrat Abdullah Bin Amr (RA) narrated that the Prophet said:

‫ ۔ﺎﻣﻠﻌﻣ تﺛﻌﺑ ﺎﻣﻧإ‬- Verily I have been sent as a teacher.’ (Sunan Ibn Majah)

He also said:

Write! I swear to you that nothing comes out from this mouth except the truth,"

Role Of Teacher In A Society:

Role Models

Young people are impressionable and need role models around them to set a good example.
More often than not, their role models are sportsmen and superheroes.
But teachers can be great role models for children too. Especially in primary school, children
need people who they can emulate in their values, attitudes, and actions.

There are many ways a teacher can be a role model for their students. People admire their role
models and aspire to be like them, which is why teachers can be great role models for children.
People may also look to their role models for advice and guidance, this is especially important
for children who may need extra support. For some children, teachers may become some of the
most influential people in their lives. Teachers also help their students through a key stage of
development.

Guidance

Teachers aren’t just there to help children improve academically. They also help children to
grow in their personal lives.

Being a teacher is like having five jobs in one: you’re a teacher, mentor, therapist, and friend.
When you spend hours a day with the same kids, you’re bound to get to know what they do
outside of school too.

Teachers have a greater purpose to guide the students through life as well. Teachers help the
students to thrive as people, not pupils.

 Inspiration

The best teachers go above and beyond to inspire children through learning. Primary school is
where many kids get an idea of how they want to spend their lives. Learning about the human
body won’t just help them pass their SATs exams: it could also convince someone to become a
doctor or scientist.

Teachers have an important role to play in inspiring young people and showing them the value in
what they’re learning.

 Shape the Future

Teachers have a unique position, as they hold the future in their hands. They can mold and shape
the values and attitudes of the next generation, to create a fairer and more equal society. By
being a role model and inspiring the students, a teacher set up a vision for what a student want
the future to look like.

 New Ways of Seeing

Many factors determine how children see the world: their family, cultural background, class
status. It’s a teacher’s role to open up their minds and help them to look beyond what they
already know. A teacher isn’t about upholding the status quo. It’s about finding ways to show
children new ways of seeing, be that looking at a debate from a new perspective, or showing
them a culture that they aren’t familiar with.

The Future of Work

Getting a job is not the only reason children spend 18 years in education. Learning shouldn’t just
be about completing an end goal, like good exam results or a new job. It’s about how you guide
students through the world.

Likewise, it’s not a teacher’s job to secure jobs for all students. But they do play an important
role in preparing them for the world of work. As they move from early years, to primary and
secondary school, teachers play a huge role in preparing students for the ‘real’ world outside of
the school bubble. From exploring job opportunities, to opening their eyes to the careers they can
excel at, teachers are integral in building up their students to succeed in life.

GOLDEN PRINCIPLES OF TEACHING IN ISLAM:

1. Clarify of Concept and Perceptions

Prophet (S.A.W) was ordained by ALLAH, to teach clearly to the people “say the knowledge is
with Allah only and I am but a plain warner” The verse of the QUR’AN reveals that the
Prophet’s duty is to proclaim or teach fact and truth openly and clearly. Muslim teacher should
have clarity of concept and perceptions in his teaching.

2. Curiosity of Readiness

It has been a good principle of the QUR’AN and the prophet (S.A.W) also used to first create the
curiosity to learn and then pass on the knowledge him or her.
Prophet (S.A.W) usually used this desire, to learn was created by asking question from the
audience. For example the eve of his last address “What day is today? What city is it?” The
prophet (S.A.W) did that just to create curiosity among his audience before actually presenting
his sermon.

Muslim teacher should keep in his mind this principle before starting his teaching.

3. Exemplification:

The QUR’AN narrates several example of historical importance to teach the relevant aspect.
PROPHET (SAW) sited most suitable examples to infuse his teaching in the mind of the
follower.

It reported by Abu Hurrairah the messenger of ALLAH said “Tell me that if there be a river
flowing next to the door of someone amongst you wherein he takes a bath five times a day-will
there remain any of his dirt?” “NO”, said they, “there will remain none of his dirt. He said;
“Thus of the prayers of the five times ALLAH blots all sins therewith”.

For successful teaching teacher should use this principle.

4. Repetition:

Following the Qur’anic style, and it was the habit of the Hazrat MUHAMMAD (PBUH) also to
repeat some concepts. There is continuous repetition of Islamic orders and teaching in the Qur’an
at various points in different contexts and ways.

For example “over a hundred times in the QURA’AN,Muslim have been ordained to offer the
prayer(Salah) and pay the poor due (zakat).

5. Avoiding Fatigue and Boredom

Islamic pedagogies always kept in view the psychological principle of fatigue and boredom.

The prophet (SAW) used to take care of the people in preaching by selecting a suitable time so
that they might not run away.

Hadith narrates that: Abdullah used to give a religious talk to the people on every Thursday.
Once a man said: “O Abu Abdur Rahman (by ALLAH) I wish if you could preach us daily” he
replied the only thing which prevents me from so is that I hate to bore you and no doubt. I take
care of you in preaching by selecting a suitable time just as the Prophet (SAW) used to do with
us, for fear of making us bored”

6. Moving from easy to difficult

The principle of moving from easy to difficult gradually, this concept was first used by Islam.

This is actually the method used by ALLAH for teaching mankind. The gradual revelation of the
QUR’AN over 23 years rather than whole being revealed in one go is a proof of this principle.

PROPHET (S.A.W) also made an effective use of this method in his teachings. He advised his
companions to educate others gradually; first about tawhid, then about Salah and later about
fasting, zakat and pilgrimage.

7. Teaching is in according with students' aptitude, pace and learning style

Islam lays great stress on teaching the people according to their mental caliber.

Hazrat Ali said:”You should preach the people to their mental caliber the wrong thing about
ALLAH and His Apostle are not convinced”.

So the teacher must first consider his pupil’s mental ability to understand any concept and then
should use his method of teaching. The Prophet also advised talking to the people according to
their level of intelligence. This is a modern educational issue, putting the student in the center of
the learning situation and giving him the leading role.

8. Teaching by advice and commandment

The basic method recommended in the Qur'an consists in commandment and advice. This has the
most influence on the child's development from a religious, behavioral, psychological and social
point of view. The educators must understand that the sensitivity of the child to preaching is
great, since his heart is still innocent and not corrupted.

The Qur’an gives a lot of advice concerning learning. Here are some commandments: “God
commands justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and forbids all shameful
deeds and injustice and rebellion. He instructs you that ye may receive admonition” (Qur'an:
S.16; V. 90). God almighty made it the responsibility of Islamic society to bring up its children
by ordering them to do good and forbid them to do wrong.
9. Teaching by setting parables

The parable is a kind of metaphor, like the use of a "donkey" to symbolize a trivial and
disgusting creature which carries huge tomes (heavy books) on its back but does not understand
them. This comparison has been used in the Qur'an where it stands for people who falsify the
signs of God. The Messenger of God took the Qur'an as an example for his own conduct, and his
morality was that of the Qur'an. His companions took him as an example in response to God's
saying. This method of acting as a role model is one of the most successful ways of approaching
Islam education with all its factors, styles and aims.

10. Teaching through practice and application

Teaching by the method of application affects the soul and confirms knowledge. The teacher
must educate his students to achieve in their life the principles learned from him. For this
purpose, he should ask them questions about real life and make sure they apply the received
education in their individual and social life.

The Prophet gave the lessons regarding worshiping Allah and living matters to his
followers, he started by himself doing the obligatory rituals to encourage Muslims to do so; he
used the practical application to teach his followers the five pillars of Islam, which are not only
movements formality performed for a particular purpose only, as well as not just a ritual or
observance occupies a place or period of time; they are the media that raise the humans and
close them to Almighty creator.

An example when someone new to Islam asked the prophet about the prayers and their times,
Prophet asked him to pray with people two days to learn, so that man just kept watching Muslims
when they pray five times a day, after two days when last pray finished, Prophet ask where is
that man who wished to learn prayers and their times? The man replied here I am, I learned them
well.

11. Brainstorming:

Brainstorming is targeting an innovative problemsolving, find new projects, stimulate thinking

and creativity training and apprentice students. A brainstorming used by the Prophet when asked
his followers: (What are the trees whose leaves never falls, that looks like the Muslim? [He
meant that the Muslims good work never gone away]; Tell me about it? After a while the
Prophet answered his question: The palm tree). Here the Prophet does not specify a particular
person to get the answer from, instead his question was in a plural form to give the group of
people a chance to think and discuss before answering, not to relate it to a particular person,
which may have the impression of embarrassing.

12. Competition:

Competition spirit among learners raises best learning and practicing. The Prophet encouraged
his followers in competition, as an example when he said: (If people know what excellence
reward is there in Azan and first row of prayer, they'll conduct voting on them. And if they know
what excellence lies in joining the prayer in the first Takbeer(call for prayer), they would have
vied with each other. And if they know what excellence lies in the night and morning prayers,
they would have definitely come even crawling on their knees).

TEACHING IN PRESENT ERA:

For changing the globalizing world, the role of the teachers is essential to improve the
sustainable education. At the same time, inspiring and guiding the students in increasing
employability skills with the digital tools is the prerequisite for a teacher. Thus a teacher in the
twenty-first century will be a digital teacher. Teachers are not the facilitator for learning of the
students only, and now they are responsible for training the students for increasing employability
skills, expanding the mind, growing digital citizenships, critical thinking, and creativity as well
as sustainable learning. Thus, the winning of the students is the win of the teachers.

Modern Teaching Techniques have been spread all over the world, which is useful and easy for
teachers. Modern Teaching Techniques educate children well and make them understand clearly.
In this era, there is an increased usage of the internet in educational applications; this could mean
that students and teachers will increasingly make use of technology within open and flexible
learning systems. Technology plays an important role in enhancing and developing our learning
system. Intended outcomes as well as unintended results of using Modern Teaching Techniques
for teacher professional development need to be explored. Certain skills and capabilities of using
different Modern Teaching Technologies are necessary for students as well as teachers.
Therefore it is necessary to prepare them for the age of Modern Teaching Technology.

CONCLUSION:
Islam is a complete cod of life. Allah did not only set guidelines and commands for us but also explained
each and everything. He sent down Holy prophet pbuh as a model of excellence and the best explanator of
Quran and The best teacher for humankind. Therefore, we can easily hold firm the rope of Allah by
gaining knowledge about our deen, to increase our imaan and following the footsteps of holy Prophet
pbuh for success in both worlds. Thus, from above references of Quran and Hadith we can understand
the importance of seeking knowledge, the status of the one who seek knowledge and teach it to others,
and the guidelines that were set by Holy Prophet pbuh as a Teacher for us to follow. May Allah increase
our knowledge and help us in spreading his message by following the sunnah of the Prophet pbuh to earn
success in this life and in hereafter.
