The article entitled “ safety and immunogenicity of one versus two doses of the covid-19
prospective observational study which was published online by Elsevier Ltd. on april 27,2021
in order to compare the effectiveness of one shot dose to 2 shot doses of covid 19 vaccine to
cancer patients. This study seeks to present the result of an observation of the covid 19
vaccine BNT162b2 one shot and two shots to cancer patients at three hospitals in London
between Dec.8 2020- Feb. 18,2021. The research is informative and timely to what the world
is facing. Upon reading the title, it is understood what its all about, although the problem
statement is vaguely stated thus it requires a lot of readings to fully understand the research.
The variables are broadly stated, moreover, the dependent variable are likely not elaborated
in what type of Cancer does the patient have. Since the vaccine is newly formulated, there are
no reference or little resource to supply information regarding the study thus the research are
done in an prospective observation and experimental study. The samples are done in a
stratified method wherein the population was subdivided into patients with cancer and
healthy controls. The instrument was validated through qualitative manner in which the
dependent variable are tested with RT-PCR which is the most accurate and reliable
identification of Covid-19 virus. Since the study are merely about the safety of vaccine to the
cancer patients, the results from RT-PCR are factual and co-related to the study. The
conclusions of the study were stated in the introduction hence the results were predictable
and foretell. The study was done in an applied research for the reason that seeks to answer in
which employs empirical method with the aim to solve problems. The importance of finding

the result of the study in nursing will improve the quality of life and therapeutic approach to
cancer patients. Thus, nursing will provide more benefits to the patients. Moreover it will
reduce the probability of cancer patients in acquiring the Covid-19 virus. This research tip-off
the importance of vaccine to people especially the immunocompromised patients like cancer.
It would help the other researchers to further study the effect and safety to other vulnerable
groups.
