Explanation:
To fill-in answers on the MRP table, we need:

 Gross requirements:
o Gross requirements for item A can be seen in Table 2.
o For the components, their gross requirements would be the product of the
planned order releases of their parent item and the usage factor of each
component (usage factor is the number of component needed to make its
parent item). Refer to the product structure tree to know the parent item
and the usage factor of each component:
 Gross Requirements of B = Planned order releases of A * 1
 Gross Requirements of C = Planned order releases of A * 2
 Gross Requirements of F = Planned order releases of C * 1
 Gross Requirements of G = Planned order releases of C * 4
 Gross Requirements of D = Planned order releases of A * 1
 Gross Requirements of H = Planned order releases of D * 2
 Gross Requirements of I = Planned order releases of A * 1
 Gross Requirements of E = (Planned order releases of D * 4) +
(Planned order releases of I * 1)
 There are no scheduled receipts.
 Items B, C, D, E, F, G, H, and I have 120, 600, 120, 120, 500, 2000, 240, and
120 units of on-hand inventory.
 The projected on Hand for the first period is computed using the formula:
o Projected on Hand = On hand inventory + Scheduled receipts - Gross
requirements
 The projected on Hand for the succeeding periods is computed using the formula:
o Projected on Hand = Previous projected on Hand + Scheduled receipts -
Gross requirements
 If the projected on Hand becomes negative or haven't met the
safety stock, then we need to compute the net requirements:
 Net requirements = (Gross requirements + Safety stock) -
(Previous projected on Hand + Scheduled receipts)
 Then to solve for the new projected on Hand, the formula would be:
 Projected on Hand = Previous projected on Hand +
Planned order receipts - Gross requirements
 For planned order receipts:
o The planned order receipts of each component is equal to their ordering
quantity. However, if net requirements aren't met, the double or triple or
quadruple, etc. the orders until we meet the net requirements.
 The planned order release is the same as the planned order receipts but they are
to be placed one week prior to the planned order receipts for components A, D,
and E then two weeks prior to the planned order receipts for components B, C, F,
G, H, and I.
