Question 4: Which site gas snails with thicker shells? Suggest a reason for this finding.
Answer: The habitat with crabs have snails with thicker shells and this is because the crabs are the predators that hunts for snails as food,
which leads to the snails being immune to beinghunted/attacked therefore growing/developing thicker and stronger shells as it is their
only protection/defense. Therefore, the mean of habitat with crabs is/will be greater than the mean of habitat without crabs.

Question 5: For which site is the snails' shell thickness more variable?
Answer: Snails' shell thickness in habitat with crabs are more variable because the data difference for the thickness of shell of the snails in the habitat with crabs is more significant than the habitat without crabs.

Question B (3): Explain whether the shell thickness is significantly different in the two polulations.
Answer: Yes it is significant, as the graph above showed the difference between the mean and standard deviation. The gap between the two is obvious and significant.

Mean of habitat with crabs:

1.02+ 0.88+ 0.75+ 0.94+ 0.81+ 0.98+ 0.79+ 0.83+ 0.86+ 0.93+ 0.91+ 1.05 = 0.90

Question: Explain if the growth is significantly different in the two plant batches. How do you know?
Answer: Yes, the growth between two plants is significant because the bar graph shows how much of a difference in mean (the heights of both bars) .
