 1. Decisions actually made during a one- week period

I have observed that decision-making in life plays a crucial role as one wrong decision in life can

take us to some other path but it also gives us valuable experience in life. I was earlier studying

at CQ University where I was doing an engineering course but at that time I realized that I am

not enjoying the course and was not able to concentrate on my studies. Therefore, after I decided

after consulting with my family members about my perception towards the management course

which I always wanted to pursue but just because my friends had joined the engineering course

even I pursued with it. That was the wrong decision of my life but with time, I realized and

joined Torrent University for the management course. I got support from my family in taking this

decision (Padikkal, et. al., 2018).

2. 1-2 major decisions made

The day I decided to join the management field was the turning point of my life as my career is

now dependent on this decision. I did the research about the management field course response

in the Torrents University and other Universities and after detailed analysis and responses from

the students; I made the affirmed decision of joining this University. At the initial stage due to

change of my field, I faced some difficulties but that was not of many issues for me as I am

having interests in this field I started reading different business journals and also preferred to

watch the videos of the professional business tycoons. All this develop more interests of me

towards this course.

After deciding on the pursuit of further studies in the management field I have to decide the

course that I should do as there are numerous courses available in this field and after analyzing I

decided to pursue the Management and business administration advance (MBA advance).

4. Personality style/ strengths and their impact on your decision-making style, bias and

blind spots

To make the decision that suits best, the decision-maker attitude towards the different risks is

important and that course of action should be chosen that has the highest preference. I adopt the

preference theory for making the best decision as this decision was related to my future and I

researched the courses of management and the career opportunities in this field. Preference

theory aims at assuming that most of the decisions that are made by us depend on the prior

knowledge of behaviour and especially our routine behaviour plays a vital role.

5. Reflection on feedback and insights from at least three class members

I have personality strength in me that I never decided on a fluke basis. I have very good

communication skills and management skills and therefore, I used both of these strengths of

mine and convince my parents for supporting me in this big decision. By pursuing the MBA

advance from Torrents University I will develop my personality in the more advanced manner by

which will make it easy to me to get the job in the highly profiled company and I will be better

able to manage the organizational work (Coudeyre, et. al., 2018). Different skills will be

enhanced while pursuing an MBA such as communication skills, leadership skills, time-

management skills, and listening skills.

 6. Sources of data and use of decision-making tools to make decisions

I did not decide while castling in the air I took the feedback from the Torrents University’s

students, teachers and staff members.

Teachers- Teachers are the most essential member of the class. Their feedback and

insights are must to know as they guide us well for our future and with their support, I

can study well and do not find much difficulty in changing field.

Students- students also keep on supporting me and whenever I get stuck in studying then

they always guide me and assist me in the way by which I can study well and my queries

get resolved on time. The feedback of students of this university was quite positive that

made me feel confident in deciding on joining this university.

Friends- I have made good friends now and they never make me feel that I am new to

this field and keep on supporting me while giving me full on motivation.

7. Evaluation of those decisions and their significance

The tools that I preferred while taking the important decisions of my life are mentioned below-

T-Chart- Through this tool, I analyze the benefits and limitations of my decisions and I

consider different alternatives and elements that were available (De Magalhães, et. al.,

2019).

Decision tree- I find this tool as the best one in deciding as through this tool the effective

decisions can be reached at. With this tool, I made the images of decisions and also made

the branches of decisions that were possible and after the detailed research and analyze I

found my appropriate decision by which I can get success.

1. I can say that the decision that I took to pursue with the MBA after the engineering which

is just the new field for me was not wrong as this course has great significance and I will

be able to make good future in this field. I never regret on my decision and for this, the

decision-making tools helped me a lot as due to these tools only I was better able to

decide with full confidence as I studied about its pros and cons also (Martin-Hammond,

et. al.,2015).
