GRID TIE INVERTER
Introduction
Environmental concerns like global warming and climate change are driving the
need for increased penetration of distributed renewable resources into the next
generation of the electricity grid. Environmental friendly electricity generation and
storage, along with energy policy and regulations are changing the characteristics
of electricity networks and supply. As a result, the project presents a “Grid Tie-
Invertor” which not only generates energy from a solar panel or wind turbine, but
also delivers it to grids powered by conventional generation, ensuring that
consumers have access to electricity.
Grid tie inverter is a type of inverter that converts the direct current (DC) power to
alternating current (AC) power .Grid-tie inverters connect local electrical power
generators such as solar panels, wind turbines, and hydropower to the grid. Grid-tie
inverters must precisely match the voltage and phase of the grid sine wave AC
waveform to inject electrical power into the grid effectively and safely.

Objective of the Project

Grid tie inverter is a special type of inverter that converts the direct current (DC)
power to alternating current (AC) power for connection to an existing electrical
grid. The cost of a grid tie inverter with one phase and 5KW is 125,000/- PKR
since it's not made locally and its complete stockpile is produced using unfamiliar
foreign business sectors and that is the motivation behind why it is very costly in
the nearby market, the price can be decreased if manufactured locally. There are
numerous advantages to manufacturing it locally. Prices have dropped dramatically
as a result of eliminating import taxes. If its mass produced, the price will go down
even further.

Benefits
Some Benefits of Grid- Tie Inverters are as follows.
1. High Efficiency

The grid-tie inverters can fulfill this requirement. They can rely on this power from
the inverters if they need the additional electricity. In the countries such as the
USA, the businesses with high electricity demand, buy the power from the power
companies. A grid-tie inverter plays an imperative role in this process.
2. Reliable

The grid-tie inverters are a reliable source of backup power. The conversion of DC
into AC protects the electrical appliances and prevents any electrical mishap. It
shuts down in the case of the power grid failure. The workers who try to fix the
power grid thus, remain protected.
