ASSIGNMENT #1: Understanding the Self

1. Self
-it is the sense of personal identity and of who you are.

2. Family
- socially recognized groups of individuals who may be joined by blood, marriage, or
adoption and who form an emotional connection and an economic unit of society.
Family of orientation which family born, family of procreation.

3. Friends
- an acquaintance or associate; a person known well to another and regarded with
liking, affection, and loyalty; an intimate.

4. Gender
- the social understanding of how sex should be experience and how sex manifests in
behavior, preferences and personality.

5. Sex
- it is a biological state that corresponds to what we call a man and a woman.

6. Identity
-  who a person is, or the qualities of a person or group that make them different from
others; distinguishing a character or personality of an individual.

7. Inner Self
-  is about what can't be seen: feelings, intuition, values, beliefs, personality, thoughts,
emotions, fantasies, spirituality, desire, and purpose. A strong inner self means that
you cope well with your emotions, self-aware, have clarity and a good sense of your
values, and feel a purpose in life. It also means that you are able to remain calm and
resilient in the face of adversity from the outer world.

8. Outer Self
- how you present yourself (hair, clothes, etc.), as well as groups you belong to or
personas that you portray.
9. Emotion
- Any strong feeling or experiencing of affective and emotional stress.
10. Values
- is a basic and fundamental beliefs that guide or motivate attitudes or actions. It
helps us to determine what is important to us.

11. Self-esteem
- conceptualized as a sort of general or overall feeling of one’s worth or value it is
more focused on “being’ feeling that you are perfectly acceptable as you are.

12. Goals
- an aim or purpose; everything you want to do in life before passing on.

13. Self-Efficacy
- it is the belief we have in our own abilities, specifically our ability to meet the
challenge ahead of us and complete the task successfully. And it focused more on
“doing” feeling you are up to challenge.

14. Digital Self


- the evaluation by oneself of one’s worth as an individual in distinction from one’s
interpersonal or social roles.

15. Stressor
- it is a situation that causes you stress.
