C. IMPLEMENTATION OF PRO-POOR POLICIES

Giayan Integrated School advocates pro-poor policies by looking into possible means on

how to help and support underprivileged learners. Through established partnerships with

stakeholders, the following school programs were initiated to respond to their needs:

1. Adopt-a-Learner Program-Teachers of Giayan IS sponsor/adopt less fortunate

learners by extending assistance in forms of school supplies and financial assistance.

2. Project SHINE- A school-home partnership designed to assist, guide and help

learners in their modular learning activities further it ensures that the learners are

met.

3. Project SPAD- The project is intended to reduce the incidence of absenteeism and

attain zero drop-out rate through home visitation and /or monitoring of learners using

two-way radio/walkie talkie.

4. Gulayan sa Tahanan- A program that prepares the learners in the field of

agriculture. To sustain the needs of food and avoid undernourished school children.

5. No Collection Policy- Giayan IS strictly implements “No Collection Policy” in

accordance with the DepEd’s goal to provide free basic education to all learners.

The school ensures that authorized contributions remain voluntary, not compulsory.

6. Giayan Integrated School is an inter-agency council in the implementation of 4Ps

and IPs.

D. IMPROVING QUALITY LEARNING MANAGEMENT

All schools are expected to enhance people capacity, internal systems, and processes

resulting in efficient and effective delivery of basic education services. Hence, Giayan

Integrated School implemented the following programs/activities for the purpose of improving
