Target User:

We are looking for an electric bike owner, ideally this one would be looking for a more secure lock
than the current one with relevant features such as keyless unlocking.

The number of tests carried out has no limit, indeed for the tests are numerous more we will have a
precise idea of the demand. Nevertheless, we must aim for quality rather than quantity.

Test Objectives:

We want to find out how a target user uses our product. Which features are vital to him or her, but
also which unnecessary features he or she doesn't find very interesting. We also need to learn from
their user experience to find new features or functionality that they find interesting.

The success criterion would be that the proposed features are considered relevant and that they
bring added value. Moreover, if the test users propose innovative ideas, this can be an excellent way
to solve unanticipated problems.

We will do this test anywhere in reality, because after all a bicycle allows to go more or less
everywhere, we should use the wooden model we have produced because it does not suggest any
behavior from the user. This allows them to interact in the most natural way possible.

We start with a basic material known to all: the shackle that all Danish bikes have. This lock is directly
welded to the frame of the bike, is easy to use, so we expect that users can easily interact with it. Our
concerns are the unlocking by phone, the geolocation, the alert by sms of a theft attempt.

For this full-scale test, we will therefore call on electric bike owners and test them on the following
points:

- unlocking the lock by phone: how do they use their phone to unlock their lock: remotely via an
application, via an NFC proximity contact, by plugging their phone?

- the way to mechanically unlock the lock is the system motorized or simply using a spring, do they
need to use an extra chain or not

- Do users remove the lock from their bike, or is it welded directly to the frame - as is the case with
most of these locks -?

- We repeat the study on the fixing phase

- How do users lock their bikes? If they have a chain, do they use it first? Do they prefer to use the
shackle? Is it motorized in the closing direction, do they have to close the mechanism by hand, at
what point does the telephone intervene in the locking process, do they use it or not at all, moreover
this is also valid for unlocking, users may not want to use their telephone

- regarding the alert and geolocation systems, we will not be able to stage this test, so we will ask
these questions directly to the interested parties.

We have to be prepared to receive criticism, ideas, questions. We will have to report on this
experiment of course so that these results are usable and properly presented.

All the members of the group will be able to carry out this test, they will only need the cardboard
prototype and to take notes on the behavior of the subjects.
