Activity Phase 3:
Read and understand overview about Global Citizenship Education (DONE)

Activity Phase 4:
Answer this question briefly, “As a student, how can you become a global
citizen?”
Global citizenship is about knowing the bigger picture beyond the issues that
the world is facing today and taking part in addressing the said issues to make a
change. As a student, I believe that I can become a global citizen if I cooperate in
activities or causes that support responsible global citizenship: creativity, innovation,
and commitment to peace, human rights, and sustainable development.

One of the things I could do is making greener choices such as recycling,

reducing waste, energy saving, and water conservation. Volunteering is also a
step in becoming a global citizen. Seeing first-hand how voluntary efforts are
making a difference to others is a great feeling, I believe. Above all, education is
key to becoming a global citizen. Being aware of the global issues, knowing what
to do, and learning to stand in the shoes of others and see problems from different
perspectives are what the world needs. It just shifts humankind’s mindset towards
helping the world to have peaceful, tolerant, inclusive, secure and sustainable
societies.

Global citizenship is a lifelong process, but I know that in my own ways, I can
be an instrument of change.
