Outsmart, Outlast, a Masterpiece

After hearing Darren Tay Wen Jie’s speech, the first thing that came to mind
was power. The moment he spoke a word, my attention was all onto him. The
speech was short but he effectively delivered the message -- to outsmart and
outlast our inner bullies.

Public speaking is a skill. It takes courage to be able to stand in front of

thousands of people without trembling your knees. However, Darren made it
seem easy. He’s exuding with confidence and passion. I was very impressed on
how he was able to concisely convey the ideas to the audience. His gestures,
facial expressions, and voice modulation were on point. Also, the way he used
the brief in his speech was remarkable. It did not only showcase his creativity in
his public speaking craft, it became a tool for the audience to fully grasp or
comprehend the topic.

Darren Tay Wen Jie indeed deserve to bag the title 2016 World Champion of
Public Speaking. Outsmart, Outlast was definitely a masterpiece -- impactful and
extraordinary.
