MODULE: MANAGING PERFORMANCE AND REWARD (HURM09002_01)

SUBMISSION DATE (one per group): via Turnitin, on or before Tuesday the 30th
of November and Presentations is on 1st, 2nd, 8th or 9th December 2021
during your workshop.

Assignment 1: Group assignment of 5 in a group: Presentations are expected to last for 15 to


20 minutes

Your team is an HR consulting company contracted to design and develop a performance


management and reward strategy for a company of your choice.

To conduct such consultancy, your team is required to do a presentation

• Define performance management.

• Tell us why companies undertake performance management strategy

• In designing your performance management strategy, identify at least two types of


performance appraisal. Tell us the number of times you want the company to conduct
performance appraisal in a calendar and the reasons why your team is recommending a
particular type of performance appraisal system.

• What reward management is and the different types.

• Critically discuss two motivational theories to support your arguments. Tell us the
reasons why management must adopt and implement motivational theories in line with
their reward strategy

• Your group is also expected to critically recommend a motivational theory at the end of
the presentation.
